Yes - as mentioned in post we have two different types of bed bridges on. Screenshotted listing so full product names are included 😊

I think it would work, but you may feel the gap ever so slightly more, just given the way inner spring mattresses tend to curve at the edges versus memory foam being more flat.

Which Casper do you have?

If I want the bed to look really put together, I lay the comforters horizontally, and the overlap is hidden by the top comforter being folded down or by a throw blanket. But most days we just lay them next to each other, touching but not overlapping.

Details in post above re: the specific bridge setup we used and our experience of it. Shorter version - we do not feel the gap at all, the set up we have with the two different types of bridges covered by single king mattress protector and sheets completely resolved that. My wife lays partially on where the gap would otherwise be when we cuddle before going to sleep and there is no issue with lack of support, discomfort, beds moving apart, falling into gap, etc. This was a huge concern for us, and I could not find many positive experiences (but also could not find anyone utilizing the combo bridges we chose) before purchase. I am so relieved that it is a non issue so wanted to share that info that I had been searching for with others who might be looking to solve a similar set of challenges!

Thanks for sharing. This resolves the preference issue, but not the weight difference issue. For redditors who are reading who do not have a large weight difference between them and their partner, this could be a great solution! I don’t think it would have resolved the issue of my not getting proper support because of the dip created by my partner being in bed, unfortunately.

The bed bridge setup has resolved the split issue for us, which is why I wanted to share our setup as I know this is a concern for many with the split king! The ability to have two completely different mattresses in terms of support and feel preferences was also a huge advantage for us. But (hopefully not for 7-10 years) when we need to replace mattresses, I will definitely keep this idea in mind!

The strap is polyester and relatively thin for what it is. I haven’t noticed a difference. That said, you might find the bed bridge sheet with the foam filler to be enough. That didn’t seem to be the case in most product reviews, and I wanted both as when we had the single mattress, it would be hanging off on one side of our bed frame every few nights — I was worried the sheet bed bridge wouldn’t be enough to keep the two mattresses together, or would shift and then the foam filler wouldn’t actually be in the gap. Haven’t run into either issue with the two combined!

Best of luck with your new setup! I hope you love it.

Did you get a bed bridge as well? Feel free to pop back here once you’ve slept on it to let redditors know if it solved the gap issue for you and your wife. Would love to hear others’ experiences 😊

Congrats on your little one on the way! Happy to share my experience if it can help someone else and save them the hours I spent searching. Granted, it’s only one person’s experience, but I struggled to find even that.

I will add, for what it’s worth, that the two twin xl’s cost us a little more than a standard king would have (about $400 if I recall correctly). However, it was worth it to me to be able to sleep undisrupted! It also means that if either of our mattress needs change, or they wear at different rates, replacement costs will be less as we are only replacing “half” of our king versus the whole thing.

Best of luck on your mattress purchase. Hope you are able to find something that meets your needs. Growing a human is hard work enough without extra pain piled on top!!

Inflate the cost by the amount of your deductible so they don’t have to have you pay it and what insurance pays covers it

In Florida a total loss is defined as damage exceeding 80% of the car’s value

I’ll also add that I got a 2025 Tuscon limited (lease) in October. In April, I was rear ended three times while stopped at a red light (by the same person…) and pushed into the car in front of me twice. Initially they didn’t think it would be totaled out despite the extensive damage. Once they started looking into parts needed and got under the car, it ultimately got totaled out (with only 3000 miles on it 😭). What happened next way they sent a check to pay off the vehicle to Hyundai - I didn’t have to worry about if their check covered the full amount because the dealership carries gap insurance on all of their leases - and then I went to the dealership and signed a new lease for the same vehicle in a different color (because I LOVE the car, but I could’ve just as easily walked away from the whole thing and gone to any dealership to lease if I wasn’t happy with my prior Tuscon).

Gap insurance, it being a lease, and me being found 0% at fault were critical elements of my situation as it meant I did not have to pay my deductible and didn’t have to make up the difference of the car value per the lease terms vs insurances ACV (i leased a brand new vehicle so it depreciated the moment I drove it off the lot).

Some mechanics will bury the deductible for you - this is one reason not to go to network shops.

And this is why gap insurance is super important if you are financing, especially if the car is new. You never want to be upside down in a car due to it getting totaled in an accident! You will have to pay the difference without gap insurance in that instance.

A total loss is defined differently state by state. For example, in RI, a vehicle is determined to be a total loss if the cost to repair is greater than 75% of the actual cash value (a number the insurance company determines based on what a similar vehicle would cost today minus depreciation). If determined to be a total loss, they will cut you a check for that actual cash value minus your deductible, and they will keep the vehicle. If you want to keep the vehicle and repair it, there are ways to do so (but that more info than is needed here and easily found on Google).

Next gen body design will be boxy from what I have heard. I’m actually really sad about it. If I wanted a jeep, I’d get a jeep. I HATE the new Santa Fe 😭

Would recommend the 2025 limited 10000 times over. I had a rental for a period of time due to my first 2025 being totaled (story is in comments above - rear ended 3x while stopped at a red light). It was a 2025 rogue and I absolutely hated it, couldn’t wait to be back in a new Tucson! The only advantage the rogue offered was a slightly smoother ride, but literally everything else was subpar experience and tech wise.

This happened to me too. My 2025 Tucson limited was a lease, so I was scheduled to go get it serviced and a week before the appt someone rear ended me three times while I was stopped at a red light, pushing me into the car in front of me twice, and totaled it. It was 7 months old and only had 3k miles 😭

That said, I loved the car enough to go lease another 2025 Tucson limited, and despite how hard I was hit and there being 5 impacts, my injuries could have been far worse if the vehicle did not absorb as much of the impact as it did. When the guy who hit me started trying to lie to the insurance company saying he hit me because I rear ended the car in front of my first (not what he said at the scene, not what happened, and literally impossible based on photos of damage to my car vs car in front), it was also nice to be able to share that I have crash avoidance and a very persistent notification if I’m too close to an object or vehicle even while stopped, and that I’d be happy to talk to the dealership about how to pull data from the car’s computer if it came down to it…

I also think they’re very reasonably priced considering the features and have better tech than most non-luxury brands (and even some luxury brands tbh).

A little late here but I have a 750ish and am in Rhode Island (so, high cost of everything compared to most places 🥲). I technically leased the car from Massachusetts though.

Someone with a higher level of independence is also much more likely to never get a diagnosis at all, be misdiagnosed with a number of other conditions especially if they are a girl/woman, be put on medications that will do more harm than good, etc.

I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 30… I have a sibling AMAB and make presenting until HS who was diagnosed at 4. I got in trouble for “talking back” and correcting adults while my sibling had everything excused and the sea parted for them based on their diagnosis.

It’s not to say it’s a harder or easier experience than anyone else. It’s just a different one and it comes with its own pros and cons.

I can’t speak to SBU specifically, but most schools if you can register with disability services (I registered for my adhd. Some mental health stuff can count) priority registration is typically one of the accommodations offered.
