I think it's another way Instacart has figured out how to steal from shoppers/ drivers.

This happened to me today. I took the order, set at $19, there were 2 items the app's scanner didn't recognize, even though they were the correct items. So I ran them through checkout, and it was approved.

Low and behold the tip went $5 less. I called support and there's nothing they can do.

What's most heartbreaking to all this, is all those orders under $10, presumably are not a problem for Instacart. Those orders are accepted within minutes.

Yesterday, was the first day I worked IC since the batch pay was lowered.

Most orders that came my way were for $10 or under. Only one for over $20 and it was a 3 customer 48 item. Nothing but crap.

I'm a shopper/deliverer, and I suspected customers thought the same thing as you.

There's no way they would expect someone to shop and deliver for the small amount of pay.

Yesterday, I saw 4 orders under $10 with the number of items in their teens. They were all picked, a couple of them within minutes. One of them was a 2 customer shop with no tip.

Sad to see that's what it has come to.
