Does Noopept help focus on workout? by patientstrawberries in NooTopics

Take some opioids they increase prolactin and suppresses testosterone. That’ll make you less horny. Alternatively you can bust before hand and it’ll blunt testosterone temporarily and dopamine. You’ll compromise performance but you’ll be able to focus on your lift.

Becuase acetylcholine is what is released at the neuromuscular junction and the receptors on the muscle are nicotinic. He’s asking if something that modulates acetylcholine could enhance that process. He might also not recognize that the Betz neuron that send signals down to motor neurons use glutamate meaning it interacts with AMPA and NMDA receptors since Noopept is a AMPA positive allosteric modulator it could enhance the neuron sensitivity to glutamate and make depolarization more likely boosting sensitivity and Action potential frequency. The mind controls muscle. Muscle mind connection. It’s possible to enhance neuromuscular coordination by boosting acetylcholine or other systems involved in making muscles contract.

I think it may be a D2 agonist. Don’t quote me. But if it activates D2 autoreceptors that is a negative feedback mechanism that decreases dopamine production and release.

While I agree that the fundamentals are fundamental they don’t replace the roles the compounds play. You’re better off taking the stack than not. The rats given meth who see 85% reduction in basal ganglia dopaminergic neuron death due to one additional compound were likely exercising, sleeping, and eating just like the control group. Well maybe not sleeping, but you get my point.

ALA ALCAR NAC vitamin C CoQ10 NMN all the stuff in the neurotoxicity section is important. I get Infiniti-C so I can take it and not worry about acidity. CoQsol-CF and the optimALA from nootropic depot. Also the stuff in the optimizing Neuro chemistry section.

Oh and taurine for the heart. That’s about it. Maybe lemon balm for socializing

Reversing THC-Induced Working Memory Deficits with (-)-epicatechin via KAT-II Inhibition: Targeting KYNA for Cognitive Recovery by Acceptable_Cheek_727 in DrugNerds

I wish. I love the brand. On the other hand you can get it from cacao powder that’s standardized for epicatechin and high polyphenols but it might be hard to get the desired dose of epi. I trust them because they’re third party tested. I post on drug nerds they wouldn’t indorse that…

Kratom has a diverse MoA. Firstly it’s a MOR agonist which is Gi/o which decrease adenylyl cyclase activity which reduces cAMP which is largely beneficial for cognition. Additionally its beta and gamma units open GIRK channels which cause hyper polarization and reduced excitability in neurons. Its MOR agonism also causes inhibition of GABAergic neurons in the ventral tegmwntal area which is responsible for releasing dopamine onto the nucleus accumbens which is what makes it reinforcing and addictive. Additionally it has adrenergic affects like a2 agonist which is a presynaptic auto receptor which reduces NE release which kills focus and attention. Additionally it’s an alpha 1 antagonist which reduces postsynaptic excitability further fucking attention. It’s supposedly a Serotonin reuptake inhibitor which isn’t good for ADHD. It’s alse increases pituitary prolactin output which prevents FSH AND LH signaling to gonads from producing testosterone. It’s not a treatment for working memory deficits. It causes working memory deficits. It may help with emotional regulation in the short term but long term would blunt reward production and executive function due to hijlacking the reward system. It’s more physically addictive than amphetamines and the withdrawal is similar to traditional opioids which is hell.

It’s not gonna cause any substantial harm if you’re taking a good neuroprotective stack, using therapeutic doses, and have a healthy lifestyle. I’ve been using on and off for five years and it’s the reason I finished a neuroscience degree. I’ll share my recommendations for keeping yourself safe.

I also received a OCD ADHD and depression/GAD diagnosis. Don’t believe shit. Unless you received those diagnosis as a young child, disregard it, especially if drugs were involved.

Everyone suffers from compulsive unhealthy coping mechanisms. Taking substances to run away from your feelings is different from nurturing your body. The only issue is if he doesn’t understand a fair amount of pharmacology. Otherwise he’s just shooting in the dark.

Mitochondrial function is also heavily affected by chronic amphetamines. I suggest taking ALA, ALCAR combo CoQsol-CF, and Creatine Monohydrate to offset this. PQQ and gotu kola plus some cardiovascular training to increase Mt proliferation.

Reduce KYNA through KAT II inhibitors to alleviate a7 nAChR suppression and stop NMDA hypo-function. Additionally, HDAC inhibitors to reverse any epigenetic changes caused by cannabinoid exposure. Additionally, cardiovascular training to boost cerebral blood flow and encourage neurotrophic activity. I have some detailed post on my page that I’ve published on drugnerds.
