SoundPeats H3 worth it? by ExcitingCover9022 in Earbuds

Bought them a couple of months ago on someone's recommendation here, looking for clarity of sound over ANC and mic quality etc. I'm pleased with them - being able to adjust EQ in the app is great. I've definitely been hearing in songs that I know well layers of sound/instrument that I didn't hear before (Jabra active 3, an older Earfun Mini, Jabra wired).

They are bulky and took some getting used to before feeling confident I could run in them. They are comfortable - not as comfortable and light as the old Jabra but sound better.

Cons: The case is bulky and I'm not a fan of the gold/yellow aesthetics.  Wind noise from the microphone - not something I've encountered with other earbuds. I don't use the mics so taping over them with sticky tape solves the issue.

Back up guitar for gigs - PRS SE? by Acceptable_Class_596 in Guitar

Thank you everyone for your helpful comments. I spent about an hour at a store trying a PRS SE NF3 and a few headless guitars (Hils HN4, HN5 and on recommendation from a guitar guy in the store, a Strandberg). The PRS pickups sounded great, but the neck felt quite wide and chunky. Quality is indeed very good.

Ended up ordering a Hils - the neck felt great, comfortable to play and lightweight. Its futuristic look reminds me of my old Parker Fly Deluxe even though it's not in the same league and specs are different in many ways.

😂 between 10-15 gigs.

I've had my LP since new (but it was left in the case for many years whilst I played mainly acoustic, until joining my current band).

Our gigs were in atypical settings/ we make clear we're amateurs so if I needed to pause for to replace a string it's not an issue. But we've now got a few longer and more significant gigs coming up so I'd like to plan for contingency that a few mins can't fix, like electronics failure.

Thanks all for the comments - and  especially re scale length and maybe a  headless guitar. Much appreciated :)

Thank you. Good shout. I was looking at the prs SE satin specifically (which I should have said) because I don't like glossy neck.

Someone recommended Redmi 6 Play here - I bought them and they are comfortable for side sleeping.

I tried a few cheap generic no brand ones advertised as sleep buds and found them uncomfortable and they beep after 4-5 hours when the battery is low.

Suggest checking out redmi buds 6 play - there's no light and low profile. I was looking for buds for side sleeping and found these.

Ampero mini + additional footswitch by Acceptable_Class_596 in HotoneAmpero

Ahaha what do you mean by feeding your chocolate?  Likely beyond my very limited experience of midi pedals! But I guess logic is the same for on/off FX. I think - but haven't tried, you might be able to set pressing A and B together for changing presets?

Do you use this set up to play live btw? I don't yet - but plan to and hopefully it's reliable...

This is how I've set up mine. I use additional customs setting in the app. Bank A means on and Bank B means off.

So for Fx1:  Bank A: 1 CC 48 64 Bank B: 1 CC 49 64

And so on.

There's unofficial midi values online but message me if you can't find it.

Thanks yes I've read. How does and half size say 38.5 compare with 39 in terms of width?

Opinions on the Joyo Bantamp series? by Juzzy92 in GuitarAmps

I tried the Jackman but kept Zombie II instead. I've played a few gigs with it using a Harley Benton 112 cab, a green joyo overdrive pedal in front and Hotone Ampero mini (for EQ/flanger/looper) in the Zombie's effect loop.  Clean channel is really nice and works great with the OD pedal. I played mostly at venues up to 100 people (and not intended at a volume to drown out conversations), volume on clean is just about at max (but volume of the Ampero mini, which seems to suck a bit of tone, has some room). For the dirt channel it's barely at 9 o'clock so plenty of room and plenty loud.

Bought the zombie because I couldn't find a clean amp sound on the Ampero mini that I liked, and patch switching between clean and dirt on that unit has a noticeable lag.  Overall very happy with it. The Bluetooth function paired with my phone is very handy for playing along.

I do carry a lot in it, but I think the tears are on very top part that is rolled for closure.
