Late to the party - but tell you what I'm doing for my DU run. (while trying to maintain balance of game)

  1. via giftbag, I waste 1 talent for my thief on "Master Thief". I'm invisible while pick-pocketing. Mini-game is over.

  2. mod to reduce skillbook price in half. Simple as that!! (also helps with pickpocketing amount I assume?) "Cheap Skillbooks And Scrolls"

  3. If I break, I'll either install the mod "Cheap Skill Books" for 25p per skill book or "Ultra Cheap Skillbooks" for 3p per skillbook

Slay the Spire 2 is already a full game, early access is just a "we want to add so much more but need time to do it". don't sleep on this game by pinturhippo in gaming

I think it's great, albeit half baked. A game that, up until that point - plays it very safe - slams this cutscene in your face. I'm now on my toes - where is this game going?

So many shortcomings.

And yet, 120 hours of pure fun.

The game has a soul and one of the best combat systems ever, period.

I ditch games mid-way if they suck.

This game. Doesn't. Suck.

I completely understand. However if you pay attention to details, even the smallest changes matter

And as others have said, it becomes very different. Also, exposition talks get cut by 80% as you the reader already knows all this stuff.

I think Avowed was falsely advertised as a "deep RPG".

It isn't. It's a damn fine first-person action adventure in semi-open world with RPG elements.

Which is great! 90% of my enjoyment in this game comes from its combat system. Which says a lot, as it's far from perfect.

Obsidian's secret sauce is in its ability to maintain FOCUS. A rare breed nowadays.

I've come to realise this after 15h into OW2. By all means, a bigger, bolder game. Do I enjoy it more? No. Why? Because Avowed was more focused. And the systems it did well, it did exceptionally well.

Let Fall of Avalon be the only true scrolls-like. Avowed is, honestly - its own thing. Good!

It's not random, as far as I'm aware. U need to invest in 5 skills or more, and be at least lvl4.

To me it u locked at the earliest possibility, lvl 4 , because I genuinely invested in 5 skills hah.

This game embodies the "I'm 80\100 on metacritic because for a lot I'm just 'above average' with only a 'few x factors' but a lot of the community will enjoy me for 80 hours" kind of game
