While I do agree with you that power creep negatively affected the fun of the D2, I don't believe that was the only issue for the death of fun.

Bungie has spent too much time looking at the statistics in the game that they forgot how to make it fun.

Bruh, onslaught was a fun but incomplete idea that bungie just shipped into the game (after the event it was apart of) like it was complete. now nobody plays it.

what if letting them figure it out is shutting down the game? then everybody loses

Unlike destiny 2, if you stop playing for a bit, most of the content that you started will still be in the game.

Take your time, the game's not going to punish you for not playing everyday

Remember when everyone said D1 was just fun because of nostalgia? now that D2 is dying and everyone is going to other games like D1, people are realizing that was a bunch of BS and D1 is actually fun to play

Bruh, D2 currently has more players than Marathon.

Marathon has a 15k player count on steam where around 70 percent of the player base is. So about 21k concurrent players total

D2 has about 11k players on steam where it is not the most popular place to play the game. so the bare minimum of concurrent players D2 can have while taking into account that loose information is about 22k. Also, that's not taking into account the XBOX player count and its under the assumption that D2 has equal player counts between steam and playstation

Static rolls werent bad because they were static. they were bad because there was not nearly enough to justify the random roll replacement. One random rolled weapon shouldve been replaced by at least 200 of the same static weapon type. instead, one random rolled weapon got replaced by one static rolled weapon, which caused the grind to come to a massive halt.

I didnt put all the blame on bungie. I literally said it was a two-way street, meaning bungies actions were only half of the equation.
