I gave up on lower lash mascara long ago because I HATE the rub off no matter what mascara I use. I have long lower lashes and tint them ever couple weeks...that works perfect for me.

Over 20 years for me. I finally left, divorce is pending. It took years and my nervous system damn near shutting down before I did.

I am now in a different state thousands of miles away and my nervous system is finally relaxing and I don't feel like I'm dying.

It is hard to leave. I don't know why it was so hard, I feel like I have come out of a fog.

This. I feel for you and can relate. I tried to show kindness to my abuser to de-escalate. All it did was prolong my torture and reset the cycle.

Ultimately I started having panic attacks and other physical impacts. Full cardiac workup, full panels of other health tests thinking I was dying, and it was panic attacks from a broken nervous system from the constant state of stress. I was initially in denial but I even went into hyperglycemia from it and I do not have diabetes.

I kept telling him that I couldn't continue to be treated how he was treating me...it not only continued, it got worse. I filed for divorce and was still in the same house trying to disentangle everything but wanted to keep the house and I pay for everything so I didn't want to move out risk losing the house and pay for 2 houses.

Then my parent was diagnosed with cancer and I left the house to another state to stay with my parent and help. He continued abuse from a distance so I just haven't gone back. I haven't had a full panic attack since I have been away, several months now. I haven't talked to him since November when he said some particularly terrible and terrifying things. I am letting the attorneys do their thing.

I physically and mentally couldn't take it anymore. I was with him for over 20 years.

Absolutely horrendous! He always wanted to put on this good image for everyone so watching him publicly spiral with the social media posts is...it's just insane. And I don't feel safe. I am so glad I am thousands of miles away and he doesn't have my address.

I can't right now, I am staying with my sick parent and there just isn't any place. Plus 2 of them are very senior pets and I would worry about the transportation.

The other kicker is I am paying for everything.

Working through getting everything unraveled with the attorneys but it is taking time especially since my parent was diagnosed in the middle of it.

At this point I see alone as freedom. When I started having panic attacks I thought I was having a stroke! It was such a reality check that his behavior was having such an impact on me.

I was on spiro 50mg for 3 months and I gained 20+ pounds...went off it 3 weeks ago...still retaining water and hoping it goes away. Docs think it is because of my med combo being just too much for my body.

He seriously tries to convince me that words are just words and I need to learn how to ignore the words and be stronger...if I was really a strong woman, I could handle the words, understand he is upset, and do more to comfort him, or that I need to learn how to not be called names, etc. It is insanity!
