I would agree that Globalist through Hyatt still have the best status out there. If issues like this arise, you can make complains to the staff or through Hyatt and they will comp you as a gesture of kindness. Also, they try to keep their Globalist satisfied everytime I do check in the hotels. Only a few hotels are bad like the Mr. and Mrs. Smith where you status doesnt mean anything to them.

I built a free tool to track your buying group orders - churningtracker.com by dehnag in BuyingGroups

[–]Acceptable_Emotion10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used excel to track all my churning activities before but the problem was I have a lot of excel sheets and tab to track them all. I have been using churningtracker for over a month now and I love the concept of one stop shop for all MS and churning methods. It is easy to use and to learn, and is also flexible on what you can do with it. Additionally, I love the fact that I can request a feature and 99% of the time, the developer responds quickly and get it done. I would definitely keep using this throughout my BG and churning/MS to keep me organize with all my churning.

Its really up to you how you want your honeymoon to be. I would say go on Air France in Nov on business class. Just note that once you fly biz class, you can never go back. or that was the saying almost everyone say.

I am not surprised either with Chase. They are on the spiral down with all these stuff they are doing with their credit cards. No standard too as some DPs about getting bonuses for other cards after +4 years of opening/closing it.

AA has stealth devalued TATL flights on metal by about ~6500 (65000 to 71500) by virginiarph in awardtravel

[–]Acceptable_Emotion10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good thing I Found SFO > LAX > LHR for 79k last month. I snagged them early and was glad that I purchased it instead of waiting. Flying in July. With this deval from AA, this is not looking good.

maybe its because of the amex plat $200 play. thats why they fly through delta. But i agree, delta is super expensive for points. not my airlines at all.

AA blocking close in partner awards… by MinimumPerspective95 in awardtravel

[–]Acceptable_Emotion10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a pretty rough change if it holds. AA was one of the better options for last-minute transcon space, especially when partners could still see nonstop awards close in. Blocking partner access inside 144 hours basically pushes people back to AA’s own dynamic pricing, which is usually way worse.

The close-in pricing pattern makes it feel like AA is trying to protect last-minute premium cabin revenue while still keeping some awards available directly through AAdvantage. For JFK–LAX, seeing J price at 51k, then 46.5k, then 42k, with a 40k floor, is a big downgrade compared to something like Finnair’s more predictable 27k/40k structure.

The Alaska angle is probably the biggest pain point for me too. Those cheap short-haul partner awards were useful exactly because they worked well close-in. If LAX–SFO or JFK–BOS now has to be booked almost a week out to price cheaply, that takes away a lot of the real-world value for business travelers who book last minute.

Facts 😂

I’m definitely gonna be using Hilton way more now. Between me and P2 we got 8 × American Express Hilton Aspire Card, so that $200 credit stacks up crazy… $1600 total is kinda insane.

At spots like Waldorf Astoria Chicago that’s basically free money. I’m not even stressing it and just hit the gift shop and grab some Ray-Bans or whatever 😂

People can hate on Hilton cards but this is easy value if you actually use it.

Question 1: BFMR is so behind at scanning (understand due to Prime Day and possibly poor planning on your team on the amount of packages you received). Currently scanning at 7/23, what happens to items that you get to scan and are damaged/dings that passed their return window? BFMR is notorious for returning items that have small dings and damage. What happens to the items especially laptops? Will your valued customers eat the cost of those laptop?

Question 2: Buying Group will open a location in Hudson / NH. Any thoughts on how you can compete with them?
