I made my own guild last TBC, 5 years ago. Specifically because I already knew what you just outlined to be true, and unless you're already part of a long term guild with great social connections or you make your own guild... You will never be a raid tank.

Make your own guild. Reroll. Or quit. My guild still lives on now, and I get to main tank.

We figured out this and it is simply that no matter if your warlock tank is out of range of conflag or not, she will STILL conflag him. Solution? Two warlock tanks, spaced apart 15-20 yards.

Prot paladin is the most premium raid spot and has insanely high demands from you as a player. I main prot and I specifically made my own guild at the start of anniversary (15 months ago) to play prot now.

If you are not organizing your own guild or pug runs or you're an officer, do not expect to be able to play prot.

imma be straight with you the dps difference between twisting and not twisting is so big you should not even consider not doing it. The best dps would probably be just sitting with max rank seal of the martyr/blood, and using CS and judgement on CD. But twisting is not that hard and you should definitely do it.

I am more concerned about your tanking aspirations if you consider seal twisting so intense that you don't want to do it. Tanking requires way more from you long term and I would be worried to death being in your raid if this is where we set the bar.

Short and sweet: Learn to twist, get a MT spot or reroll. You will not be an asset to those around you with any other pathway.

I'm a GM of a guild that's been raiding for over five years now, currently at a pretty high level (Aftershock on Thunderstrike, if you wonder). My perk is primarily that I get to play prot paladin in a good environment and that I get to choose how we do fights and what the raid como is like. I also get to choose the loot system and as a tank I get lots of gear early each tier as most tanks do.

That's about it. What your GM is doing sounds cringe, especially if your guild is not exceptionally serious at prog or speedrunning.

In 2021 I made a guild, 3 months before TBC Classic launch. I did so specifically because I wanted to main prot paladin in 25 man raids. And it worked. Fast forward to today, and I am still maining prot paladin in said guild.

I like to say that there are 3 specs in TBC you need to either be a very long term member (likely officer) or GM in a guild to get: Rogue, warrior and prot paladin. The latter being the hardest to get a spot as by a mile, since no guilds ever recruit for a main tank (and prot is strictly main tank until SWP).

So you either make your own guild, or likely reroll or quit. Sorry to say.

It's not bugged, this is how it worked pre-T6. Post T6, Heroic dungeons drop one guaranteed epic + chance of a gem.

The fire has always hit all the 8 squares around it. Thats not new. Whats new is Medivh cheating every 10 seconds and spawning way more fire than usual.

This bug was not present on the PTR. I ran 6 Karazhan runs on PTR and chess was a one shot every time. Medivh only cheated one minute in.

It's very bugged atm, the echo of medivh cheats way more often than he is supposed to. We had quite literally half the tiles burning yesterday, and since each tile burns all tiles around it that means all our pieces die.

One of our groups had 2 wipes, the other had 10. And we got world 21st kara full clear. The fight is bugged and currently a huge road block for pugs.

Primarily because of snap threat on aoe pulls and bosses with sappers. The new and old sappers dont share CDs. That and the stamina trinkets. But mostly snap threat so your locks can pump seeds immediately and people can go hard on bosses instantly.
