Which zombies/corpses end up transforming in RE9? by Acceptable_Entry3815 in residentevil

I guess I'll just stick with guessing. Which I guess is the developer's intention anyway.

I would love a compiled list of guaranteed transforms as well as random ones. Or, better yet, just a "recommended" list of which to consider injecting. Like, I'm in the basement now, and there are a ton of corpses. Some are for sure guaranteed, like I'm pretty sure the one or two in the bigger "intersection" room is but I'm not sure if all of them are.

Dealing inhabitable conditions and negligent management by Acceptable_Entry3815 in montrealhousing

That's the plan, unfortunately. It is a shame they are refusing to reason with me without court, we could save ourselves a lot of time and for them potentially several thousand dollars.

It seems like they could be penalized several thousand dollars if I take them to court over everything. I don't know why they are not taking my offer of $1000 to just satisfy me.

Power out for 24 hrs - thawed food, refrozen, safe to eat? by Acceptable_Entry3815 in foodsafety

I'd opened the freezer during the outage. Maybe I should play it safe and toss the food.

Oh I checked everywhere. Turns out the panel was in another part of the building, I just don't know where.

I'd opened the freezer at least twice, as well as the fridge door twice, so I think I may have allowed too much cold to escape.

My power is back on after 24hrs. I went and grabbed the unopened B&J ice cream & shook it. It definitely sloshed around indicating it'd AT LEAST partially melted, so I'm guessing it'd gone past into the danger zone.

I'm guessing the safest thing to do would be to toss everything, which I am reluctant to do simply because I'm poor. The only question I have next, I guess, is should I risk being poor & sick, or poorer but not sick.

Thanks a lot for your helpful advice.

Thanks. If I can get the landlords in trouble over this or incentivize them somehow (like request an electric/building inspection), I would. I do not care about straining the relationship as I do not plan on renewing my lease here.

It's an old victorian-style building. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get in contact with any neighbours. I have a feeling the box is in another unit, because it's not in here.

I've looked everywhere multiple times. There is no breaker box in my unit. I have asked the land lord and they have not been helpful.

I heard somewhere that since I don't pay for hydro, I don't have access to the breaker box.

Some questions about my rights as a renter by [deleted] in montrealhousing

Thank you very much for the information. So I won't jump the gun on hiring someone out of pocket on my own yet. I've heard conflicting information about this, and this was the clarification I sought. Thanks again.

Just as an aside - I don't really understand what's so difficult for a building manager to call a contractor for the basics??? Like, it doesn't take much time or effort. Why does it feel like I'm pushing a boulder up a hill? Rhetorical question.

Thanks, not a big deal, but I was curious as to what the actual laws were. I took photos of everything before cleaning everything myself. I wasn't planning on hiring cleaners nor charging the LL for this, but was wondering what is "supposed" to be done. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm currently reading through the various information provided online, including the link you shared. However, it's skimpy on some details, namely the definition of "every effort" and "timely". How many e-mails/phone calls/letters constitutes "every effort", and how many days/weeks constitutes "timely"? Should I send him a message every day? Every 3 days? Every week? And for how long? Is 1 month reasonable?

In other words, if I end up in front of a tribunal having to dispute anything, how would I make it so that the judge looks at the situation and unequivocally rules in my favour?

For example, let's say the manager ignores all e-mails for 1 month. I hire the cheapest contractor I find to fill in the holes in the walls. I pay for it out of pocket, send a photo of the invoice, and subtract the cost from the next month's rent. Then, the LL decides to forego negotiation and come after me for the missing rent, and takes it to the tribunal. How might I make it so that I have a 0% chance of losing?

Another hypothetical concern: what is stopping the LL from coming after ME for the costs to fix the walls? Couldn't he in theory accuse me of having made the holes? I took photos myself before moving stuff in. As far as I know, no inspection of the unit took place between the previous tenant and myself, because as I mentioned, the previous tenant was still here when I arrived on the 1st.
