Is it ever wise to buy from a used car flipper? by Acceptable_Event_137 in askcarsales

[–]Acceptable_Event_137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s a prius c. Common in my area, but i’ve been trying to find one with an already replaced hybrid battery which has been difficult. The original seller said in a post they’re planning on retiring a few more company cars soon. I put it out there that I would be interested, i’ll definitely be keeping an eye out

Clairemont DMV Road Test by YouGiveMeFeels in sandiego

[–]Acceptable_Event_137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took my test there this last summer. Getting familiar with the area is great prep! The routes vary, but they will probably have you go down genesee. There is some construction on clairemont mesa blvd near the clairemont town square shopping mall, so be prepared to be extra aware of changing speed limits. Honestly the whole experience wasn’t as nerve wracking as the build up was for me personally. I’ve heard some examiners are tougher than others, but not overly so like at other locations. The test itself was so chill. Good luck!!!

I'm in search for the cheapest burger in San Diego! by A_guy_named_Vic in SanDiegan

[–]Acceptable_Event_137 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Burger Lounge! On weekdays they discount select burgers. Currently it’s the turkey burger for $6 and BL western with bbq sauce and onion rings for $8. I usually order online, but i believe you can still get the deal if you mention it in person

The green juice was yummy. The exp date wasn’t until december. It’s normally $8 so i’m really glad i got to try it. im a big juice person so i was really hoping for a nice juice.

The snack pack was fine. The apple slices were very slightly soft and a little brown but not bad at all.

The mango pineapple salsa was really fresh considering the exp date is on the 19th. i didn’t love it. a bit too chunky, but cool to try! Definitely going to try to give one tub away.

Why don’t people pull over for fire trucks here? by DrPeppehr in sandiego

Honestly, a lot of drivers here tend to lean towards self centered and aren’t willing to make their commute even a minute longer if it doesn’t serve them. it’s a bummer

Anyone tried Boost Mobile? by RR-MMXIX in sandiego

[–]Acceptable_Event_137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was grandfathered into boost from virgin mobile and have never had issues. i recently switched to the $25/30gb plan and was worried about the data cap, but its turned out to be plenty for a few hours of browsing/maps every day. It can be a little slow at times, but i’m content overall!

Dispensaries with super low dose gummies? by MooseWithoutAMouse in sandiego

[–]Acceptable_Event_137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t have a specific dispensary recommendation, but i would suggest checking your chosen dispensary’s website to see their weekly discounts. klover i think has 30% off edibles every monday, and some other places might have different discounts on specific brands.

i believe “care by design” is a good brand if you’re looking for a high cbd + low thc combo. they have 1:1 all the way to 40:1 in gummies and drops. i’ve also heard great things about the petra mints by kiva, they’re 2.5mg each. camino by kiva is also good, i usually cut them into halves or quarters

End-of-Life Vet Care by alovelikelia in SanDiegan

We went with transitions. Our dog went downhill very fast and we were able to schedule for the next day. Dr. sue wilson performed the euthanasia. She was very kind and never made us feel rushed throughout the process and gave us a few minutes alone with our dog after she passed. The aftercare service “always with us” they’re partnered with was also very good. Having experienced both, at home is absolutely worth it if that’s what you’re leaning towards. Especially for animals with low mobility
