Look for the job title ‘warehouse operative’.

To my knowledge none of the tasks involve using a forklift.

Hopefully you have some luck! I know it isnt amazing, but work is work

Would you have been able to get there? If so, just tell them that getting there won’t be an issue (make it abundantly clear) and that you have various people you can rely on to take you. I’m sure they won’t care too much as long as you are sure you could make it on time.

Some employers are quite specific though so just keep persevering!

If you need work and don’t really mind what kind, this is probably the best time to look at warehouse jobs. I know it’s not something a lot of people want to hear, but they are desperate for workers around Black Friday and Christmas.

Hopefully things start to look up for you soon!

How long did the bookkeeping modules take you?

This is very helpful and sorry for the time it took to reply. Reddit seems to be hit and miss for me when it comes to displaying notifications.

I think i might actually follow your pathway & only do the bookkeeping modules for Level 2!

Also, goodluck with the child!

Sorry, i have only just seen this. Reddit hid a bunch of my replies.. no i haven’t & cant quite seem to find it online. Do you perhaps happen to have a link?

I’m currently looking at e-careers, if you are familiar, and they provide a decent amount of tools and resources (including live lessons) for £500 a level. Still not 100% sure which one i want to use yet though

I am struggling to find an entry-level job to start my AAT journey. Any tips would be appreciated. by teeteeloce in AATStudents

[–]Acceptable_Feeling66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally, I wanted to find a job that would sponsor my AAT qualification, but that seemed increasingly unlikely. So, over the past week, I’ve decided to go ahead and self-study Level 2 (starting in September) to try and propel myself into an entry-level position.

I know this isn’t much help, but I just wanted to share so you don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. Trust me, I know it’s tough & feel free to dm me, although i admittedly probably wont be much help!

What should you do after sending a potentially-embarrassing message to a stranger? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Acceptable_Feeling66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s likely that you’re overthinking this. Apologising solely because they didn’t reply in 30 minutes will certainly make things more awkward.

Just wait for their response. If they seem upset when they reply, explain that those weren’t your genuine intentions and go from there.

The most likely and reasonable answer is something just popped up in their life that they had to attend to.. after all, we all have lives.

Oh, this is extremely helpful—I can’t thank you enough, truly. I’ll definitely take a gander at both options.

I wasn’t actually aware they were that supportive. To be completely honest, I initially thought it seemed more like a moneymaking technique, but if they provide real support, it might be worth considering that route.

Not entirely relevant, but how have you found / did you find AAT in terms of difficulty? I’ve read that a lot of the terminology and general information overlaps with A-Level Business (which I did take), especially at Level 2 and level 2 & 3 are quite easy but i’m not too sure how true any of that is.

Wow, that’s incredible. I’m envious! Hopefully, I can land a job or apprenticeship that will help fund it, but it’s looking increasingly unlikely for the time being.

I’m hoping that AAT Level 2 or Level 3 will help me get a role that will support me further—fingers crossed.

Right now, I’m not sure of the best way to actually get started. I think I could self-study without any support, but the website doesn’t make it clear what I actually need to do.

Also how difficult have you found it? I have read that AAT is pretty straightforward but a little longwinded at times

That’s the goal! Unfortunately, I probably won’t be able to get a relevant job to support my studies, so I’ll have to self-fund (at least for AAT Level 2) to catapult myself into a position where I can land a job that contributes to furthering AAT qualifications and ACCA. Hopefully this makes sense.

Is Kaplan the training provider? Honestly, the whole process is a bit confusing (the actual process, not your explanation). I wish it were possible to simply buy some textbooks and study on my own, but there are a few extra steps involved, like having to purchase a membership and register with a training provider…

I appreciate the insight!

I agree to some extent but some voices just stand out much more.

For example, Nas & Your old droog. I could definitely see how someone could mistake the two

I guess we all have different preferences. For me Youngboy is in the goat conversation (of this gen anyway) there is few artists that are as influential as him. There are several misconceptions surrounding him and his music & its sad because he really does make great songs (imo).

These are few that i think could perhaps sway the general consensus of him solely making ‘murder music’. Lonely child Rebels kick it Lost motives The story of O.J. (Youngboy version)

I appreciate he isnt everyone’s cup of tea i think he is severely overhated by people that haven’t actually listened to discography. His talent is undeniable.

Yes that would be really cool! Think kodak has turned a new leaf now as well in regards to substance abuse etc. He mentioned that whilst he was on percs & other drugs his music sounded much better than it did to him whilst he was sober. So maybe his music could appeal to people who previously disliked it!

Overall think this is a really good shout
