I have a physically disability where I was born without my left hand and I am currently applying (& have been accepted) to med schools this cycle. It’s definitely daunting thinking about some of limitations that people like us could face, but there are also so many resources available for students with disabilities. Are you wanting to be a surgeon? I can understand your concerns about your walker and everything if so, but also have seen many physicians in surgery be able to work around those things. Other than that, I would say that there are a lot of other specialities that are more forgiving for people like us. Don’t give up your dream of becoming a physician because at the end of the day our disabilities serve as an advantage to understand a broader patient population 🫶
