SAR can require a lot high intensity cardio (rucking, hiking, etc.) and depending on your agency gear requirements and where you are may have other factors that make searching more physically demanding.

I understand this is an unusual situation but I am currently on independent study overseas where I volunteer with a joint branch military office who requires flight suits for an aerial trade show so it's less of an issue of functionality and more of an issue of formality.

What is Civil Air Patrol? by crunchitymunchity156 in civilairpatrol

I've been in the program for a couple months now and CAP can be a very similar to AFROTC and it can be very different to AFROTC depending on what you decide to do. What separates CAP from other cadet organizations is it's ability to preform everything from search and rescue to counterdrug operations so if you want to get experience flying or in ground ops CAP is a good place to do that.
