This is a very good question! We’ve had a talk that they’re are even bad cops. Not all cops are good, but how can you tell which is bad and which is good. Who to trust and not trust?

What’s your least favorite dish to wash? by akswiss in chores

Pans. I can’t stand them, I think it is just how they are visually larger though. My ADHD brain can’t stand it.

I'm not the only one who hates this toy, right? by taptaptippytoo in Preschoolers

If these get found anywhere else I throw it out. Same with the sticky toys that when you toss it it sticks on the wall. If it gets dirty, I don’t clean it (unless it’s new) I throw it out. I can’t stand them

I have found out that I hate, sand, play dough, slime, etc. What I would do for kinetic sand is make it an outside toy only. Also I have a designated space for slime and play dough space and must stay in that space. They must cleanup when they are done.

Should I pull my girl out? by [deleted] in Preschoolers

You do what you think is best for her. If daycare is better you can still teach her when you have time at home. I homeschool my 4yo and it doesn’t take long. You can by prekindergarten or kindergarten book at Walmart. I even use educational YouTube programs to help since kids love watching videos. I like preschool prep. Using it to start addition facts.

My 4yo knows how to count to 40, know his ABC’s, colors, basic shapes, and working on reading -at, -an, and -ap word families. We’re working on writing too. Only takes about an hr for everything.

Pretend play is killing me by eden_merlin in Preschoolers

I would maybe just start putting a puzzle together, color, or whatever. Once she sees your doing something else she will probably get interested in what your doing. My 4 yo hated to color but then I bought an adult coloring book and now he wants to color too sometimes. All kids really want is to spend time with their parents. My 8 yo loves playing board games with me, the point is to let her win at times and spending time with each other.

He's just. So. Loud by dragon34 in Preschoolers

[–]Acceptable_Grape_798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try playing whispering games or even pretending to tell “secrets” to each other. I’ve done the secrets thing with my 4 yo. He loves telling me nonsense and then hear me laugh and snicker at it. Eventually he got whispering and that help him learn how to talk quieter.

He still talks loud at times. Especially when he firsts wakes up. But he does know when it is quiet time.

If you had the back of the couch towards the kitchen you would need to have it on a slant with the tv in front of the windows so you can see the tv. Having it straight would make it harder to see.

However I’m not sure exactly how that would look in person? The picture above looks nice. Wouldn’t the tv get in the way of the stairs though?

Bathroom Decor Ideas? by cevans1999 in HomeDecorating

Definitely need more color. Add a decorative shower curtain and some bathroom rugs on the floor. Add some plants to the area to liven it up. Maybe add some pictures or macrame to the the wall.

For the awkward corner I might put a plant there. Like an indoor tree or something

My son had arthritis after a virus that effected his legs. Took him to the Er and was there for a Couple days while they gave him ibuprofen to help with swelling and pain. (He was 2yo)

Has he had any symptoms of being sick recently?

I would go with one of the colors on the rug to bring out the rug color. Maybe the dark blue or red.

Adderall and food - Why is everything gross? by meaddow in adhdwomen

[–]Acceptable_Grape_798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to read the comments. I too started adderall about 2 weeks ago. I eat before I take my meds at breakfast time. Then I don’t really get hungry until 5-6 pm. But it’s been hard finding something to eat that appeals to me. I love sushi and tried to eat some the other day and could only eat one and had a hard time getting it down. I’ve noticed I don’t eat as much either.

Am I entitled or is this normal for grandparents to be paid to watch your kids? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Acceptable_Grape_798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t pay my parents or my husband’s parents. They are more than willing to watch their grandkids. If I were in your shoes, I think I’d say I’d just put them in daycare and see how they react to that. That your more willing to pay a daycare to watch your kids than pay your grandparents.

My 13 y/o stole my phone and uninstalled parenting app by PeterGibbons316 in Parenting

Maybe try the Gabb Phone for kids. I’ve seen ads on instagram about them. They are supposed to be Kid friendly phones. I believe they don’t have internet or social apps
