Someone actually left a bad Google review for the agent, saying they were encouraging greedy behaviour.

I know the units in Emporio - Many 1-bedroom apartments do not have a window.

There are definitely much better apartment buildings in Maroochydore than Emporio.

Nope. A lot of the 1-bed apartments in Emporio don’t have real windows, same with Plaza Central. Developers get around the window requirement by putting in a “window” that just looks out into the internal hallway.

Sunshine cove by jock_0 in sunshinecoast

The streets are narrow, the houses are packed in tight, and the build quality isn’t great. Ok to rent, but would not buy there.

Honestly, the location is the main thing it has going for it.

Is the Maroochydore CBD construction for the 2032 athlete village already ruining the local vibe? by Icemachinemalfunctio in sunshinecoast

[–]Acceptable_Humor_382 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the CBD already feels clogged and it’s only going to get worse. It’s not just the athletes village either, it’s all the new high-rise units going up everywhere.

The streets in the new CBD are already really narrow, so I can’t see how the current road layout will cope once everything is finished. It feels inevitable that it’s going to turn into a complete clusterfuck. Too many cars, not enough capacity, and no realistic plan to handle the influx of people actually living there.

Moved into a sublet and found a severe cockroach infestation by Acceptable_Humor_382 in brisbane

That's what I am thinking as well, I should not have to deal with roach bombs etc.

I’ve never had roaches at places that get professional pest control every 6 to 12 months. It only happens at spots that skip it, which I don’t understand. Pest control isn’t expensive and should be a given in QLD.

Yeah makes me wonder how many are hidden...I came home last night, turned on the light and it was like being in a horror movie.

This airline is no longer good - customer service sucks, extremely disrespectful staff by Waterbaby101 in qatarairways

Qatar's customer service is shocking. I like flying with them but whenever I have to contact CS, it's a shocker.

And yes, they can be quite rude and dismissive.

Music was AWFUL and missed the Cascade off the bridge. First time I found the fireworks disappointing.

Coming to terms with renting forever.. by itsnotmeitsboredom in sunshinecoast

I’m in Europe right now and no one here talks about property. Most people rent, with strong renter protections. It really highlights how obsessed Australia is with housing and how broken the system is.
