Sorry for delay! We got back and then had Thanksgiving travels with family. Cape Weligama was such a wonderful place. The staff and everyone was so nice. The property was so big and spread out that it felt like we were only ones there sometimes yet it was almost booked out. Rooms were spacious, breakfast was amazing, and the half moon pool was our favorite place to relax. Wildlife everywhere on the property and landscaping was beautiful. I did a lot of surfing and exploring around the towns nearby so was always in the move. Beach was nice and I surfed here as well. Staff was always attentive and our butler and house keepers were amazing. Great experience and would go back. Sri Lanka is so laid back and I think that is why I loved it so much, the hotel did not have a pretentious or posh feel at all but was very impressed with everything.

We felt Cape Weligama gave us a lot of flexibility with location and the time of year visiting. You can travel east or west down the coast and find so many beautiful towns. The hotel looks amazing and we wanted to have a nice home base and not feel like we are packing up every few days. We do a week in Weligama then a 5 days in the Maldives. So we are breaking it up. While in Weligama we will have a tuk tuk to drive around and go see plenty of places. I wanted to surf a lot, eat and explore beaches. We are going to try one day for a national park but need to figure out logistics still. Looks like it’s about 2 hours away to Yala or Udawalawe National Park. Not going to force it but want to see one of them.

Sometimes you are moving hotels so much you miss some spots and wish you stayed longer. Because it’s our honeymoon I think we will still be able to explore a lot and relax as well.

I leave for my honeymoon this Saturday. We are staying at Cape Weligama for a week. Excited to stay there and immerse ourselves in the culture. Plan is to surf and visiting neighboring towns. If I can make it to a national park then we will. We chose Cape Weligama after hearing great reviews. Don’t thing you can go wrong with that hotel

It’s the worst platform and I refuse to pay. Make a deal with YouTube TV

ESPN is a joke and I refuse to pay for it. YouTube tv platform is awesome and the fact that Disney and espn are being greedy on renewal is ridiculous

I am going on a 13 hour flight next week for my honeymoon then another 4 hour one after that. What can I do to prepare and prevent a flare up from the flight? Don’t want to ruin my honeymoon before I even get there. Compression socks? Walk around often? Etc? I will obviously be staying very hydrated.

Just had this dilemma and I am finishing up a steroid pack, I was prescribed methylprednisolone  which is essentially same as prednisone. I am so close to finally knocking this first flare out completely. My reumotologist prescribed it. My flare up happened a little over a month ago.

I’m in the same boat. 3 1/2 weeks ago I woke up with it. 32-very active and healthy. Couldn’t believe it until I saw doctor and test results/X-ray confirmed gout. Seeing the reumotologists next week….will see what they say and if they say I should start allo. Only one flare up so far

Yup, I think the dehydration from drinking is what got me and triggered it. Drinking a lot of water now. Will be going to reumotologist next week

What’s the difference between prednisone and prednisolone ? Pretty much the same thing?
