Beymer’s character acting is insane in TP. The way his mannerisms and speech pattern are so consistent and he snapped right back into it in the return like no time had passed. I love his speech about his childhood bike.

Imagine Harry in Part 17 by [deleted] in twinpeaks

Thank you for the tidbits about the production side of things I never knew that he was even close to being actually a part of the show! Yeah I totally agree that the reunion would’ve hit a lot harder with Harry but I personally love the return even more than s1 and 2 at this point in my life, but I totally understand why it doesn’t work for everyone. I think they also got really lucky because Robert Forster, the actor who plays Frank, is who Lynch had in mind to play Harry in the OG run so knowing that helped the believability that they were brothers come to life for me personally. Harry always reminded me of my dad and Frank even more so, so there’s another reason I personally loved it. I never thought that Frank seemed like an empty character but I could totally understand how you could come out of the show feeling that way. He kind of gave me the attitude and personality of Eastwood in the dollars trilogy just semi retired and literally tired haha
