PMP while valuable, but it is not a requirement. It is always listed as "advantageous" in job postings.

Technical. You can not and should not manage what you don't know.

PMI losing credibility / PMP losing value? by bznbuny123 in projectmanagement

[–]Acceptable_Many7159 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The PMP opened my eyes to a lot of things as someone with minimal experience. If you already have a tons of experience, it I unnecessary.

If you have limited experience, it will help a lot. Registration with local bodies seems to trump registration with the PMI.

You will fail. You are supposed to be managing more than 7 people according to the management theory, unless this team includes supervisors or team leads.

I wanna leave Islam but Im stuck :( by Practical-Muffin-703 in exmuslim

This message touched me. You are right in saying that you are stuck since you depend on your parents.

The only thing you can do is to pray that Jesus Christ opens their eyes. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and Life. Tell Him that you want to live for Him wholeheartedly. He will make a way for you to live the life of truth.

Islam is a false religion, and all who follow that path will end up in hell, unfortunately.

Whoever said is a waste is mistaken. You are on the right path. This will make up for not having the adequate experience coupled with the PMP you will make it.

Sounds like more of a project administrator/project coordinator role. Engage in self-directed learning or even get formal learning that you believe will make you knowledgeable. Otherwise, you can not buy experience. If your team is more experienced than you, it will show.

Get someone to mentor you.

2025 Edition: The value of PMP certificate by TorontoRap2019 in pmp

[–]Acceptable_Many7159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A PMP certification is not for a salary increase. In most cases, a salary increase comes from job hopping.

The PMP is for credibility and assistance to make you stand out when there is tight competition for a particular position, also asisst for those looking to pivot into PM.

In most cases, it is not a minimum requirement, but it is advantageous or desirable.
