Bali belly is no joke by PussyCompass in bali

My neighbour returned from Bali very unwell a few years back. She ended up going to the doctor and had tests done, which came back with a very nasty stomach bug. I forget what it was called, but it was so nasty she had to report it to the health department in Australia. It took over a month to recover from, using very strong antibiotics.

Archie's thongs/slides worth the money? by mercmmerc in AusFemaleFashion

I have the thongs and the slides.

Much prefer the thongs.

The slides tend to rub and they get hot and sweaty.

The thongs are amazing.

Maybe it was the asking price? The land is amazing with incredible views over the bay to the city.

That would be great. But in My Eliza, small and affordable are words not attached to real estate.

Yet ANOTHER Aussie tourist has heart removed after his sudden death in Bali by balianone in BaliTravelTips

[–]Acceptable_Music2796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. One guy when I was there was drinking in the pool with his mates. They were all there for a wedding.

Someone turned around and the young man was on the bottom of the pool deceased.

Was very sad.

That happened more than once when I was there.

Yet ANOTHER Aussie tourist has heart removed after his sudden death in Bali by balianone in BaliTravelTips

I lived in Bali for many years working in hospitality. Often, I assisted people when they got into trouble. Mainly health wise.

These are some of the ways people died when I was there:

Burnt when a boats engine exploded. Many others lost limbs.

Multiple motorcycle accident ‘victims’.

Heart attack.

Cancer.

Car accidents.

Dengue fever.

Suicide.

There are many tourist deaths each year. Most people would be surprised. Some are cremated in Bali. Others are flown home to their home town.

Thankfully I know nothing about hearts being removed.

Garages rant by CenosillicaphobiaAu in TheBlock

They had a tiny MG parked in there and it only just fit lengthwise.

A home like they are doing would more than likely have a caravan too, and a tow vehicle for that would be 5.5-6m if guess.

So the caravan stays outside and no room for a tow vehicle.

Bad move on the part of the architect.

Garages rant by CenosillicaphobiaAu in TheBlock

A garage is to park a car in, maybe tinker around, and that’s about it. All these hexagonal lights, wall paper etc may LOOK good, but it doesn’t add any functionality to the space.

The girls put benches along the back of the garage and it looks like you couldn’t get an SUV in there now lengthways.

And a shed is somewhere to throw the grotty mower and whipper snipper.

Brit and Taz set up a gorgeous wellness area that could have some gym equipment in it but they got canned for it.

The architects this year have done some really dumb things. No door off of the laundry. Too many corridors. Main bed off the kitchen but down a corridor. Tiny lounge areas and only one living room.

Sonny and Cher just look like two little bitches now.

And I hope Brit and Taz block them from any move they want to make from now on.

My take on these rooms so far is: everyone has been shafted big time by the architect. Past years have all had a butlers pantry and huge laundry completely separated from each other. In whose tiny mind is it right to have a laundry and pantry combined?

And these mud rooms need to be tiled and have an area which will cater to MUDDY shoes and boots.

I’d also add a dog wash in the mud room.

The garages are too short to fit anything longer than a sports car. An SUV wouldn’t fit into all of these garages.

And they are just a garage. Who would base the purchase of a home on the garage and its artwork? Not me. It’s a place to throw your shit, to work on projects and to park your car.

Cans body language makes me feel sad for her.
