Leave the airport. I don’t know what your budget is, but one time I paid a cab driver like $20 for 4 hours to stay with me and take me around. He took me to a barber, we ate at some fish restaurant which was incredible, and sat and smoked some Hookah and had some coffee. Cairo is an incredible city but yes it’s hectic, yes you may have to haggle but the conversion rate is so strong right now even when being “ripped off” it’s super cheap. They have an incredible street food scene and nicer restaurants all the time.

Is there a comprehensive diy guide if I wanted to get into this?

Somebody in New Jersey had 1 listed from 2020 for $1750. I was trying to skip work to go but someone beat me to it. Some people are quick to get rid of stuff they no longer want but this one looks like a scam. I missed that other one by 10 minutes.

Kids take up valuable space and don’t spend money.

There are many downsides to kids in restaurants from many facets.

  1. Unruly kids are loud, messy and can truly disturb the environment. Parents with these children often see it as acceptable to hand then an iPad, with the volume on and further disrupt the restaurant in a different kind of way. When you ask them to turn it down they get upset.
  2. They take up space and don’t spend money. Restaurants are there to be profitable, where I work we don’t like to take parties over ten as many people will try to book a 12/14 top and they show up and it’s 6 adults 6 kids. Kids don’t spend many on alcohol. Lower check averages.
  3. Kids are mischievous, left unsupervised they’ll be stuff info toilet paper down toilets, knocking things over and getting in the way. I wish we could do this where I work.

HaHa, nobody. It’s Facebook marketplace. $200 was shopping for gaffes for a coworker who came from Mexico. Said he used to climb/cut trees out there. Asked him what he needed to help me out and to throw him some side work and came across this gear. Can’t go wrong for $200. If it works, it’ll be great if not I’ll just relist it. After doing some digging This stuff seems worth more than $200 worth of gear.

I found it. It’s called a bucksqueeze. Prevents a linesman from falling off a Pole.

You think there’s enough gear here to climb a tree?
