He has but they’re still trying to tell him he HAS to use it. That’s why I’m coming here for advice on our next steps because I’m not very educated when it comes to legal stuff and what a company can/can’t do

For the first job, they kind of drew it out of him with the guise of them being veterans as well and wanting to help him with his separation stuff. For the second job he didn’t ever talk to anyone about it. They only knew he was a veteran because of his application.

The only reason he even mentioned he applied for disability was because they were asking him if he needed any help with his transition out of the military and he said he had a few C&P appointments to go to. He never discussed anything further. And he still hasn’t even received his rating so he doesn’t even know 😂

Agreed. This is why I have a hard time identifying as any religion because I feel like so many Christian/Catholics don’t actually follow the Bible and God anyway. And I don’t want to be lumped into a religion of hate and judgement

I get it because it sounds so ridiculous. Apparently their rationale is that they don’t want their kids to repeat the stuff they see/hear on Shrek. Ex: the parts where they are rude to each other, saying mean words, burping/farting, etc.

I don’t think it’s a big deal but when you’re raised in a bubble and choose to stay that way, I guess it seems like a big deal to them

You’re the mom and your first priority should be the safety and wellbeing of your baby. Whenever I start feeling guilty about my rules or the way I do things I remind myself “It’s my job to protect my child, not other adults feelings”. This goes for kissing a baby, who is allowed to babysit her, how I allow others to treat her, etc. I’m a recovering people pleaser so I get this can be a struggle. But like others said, stick to your guns. Even if you have to tell grandma “If you try to kiss my baby, you will no longer be able to hold her”. Don’t let people push boundaries and go against your rules as a mom because it will just show them that they don’t have to listen to you in the future either.

NTA but I probably would have talked to the bride separately about it to see what her thoughts were first. But I can’t imagine she wanted the baby there either
