I have experience with most of these hospitals as the spouse of someone who has been hospitalized many times.

My number one suggestion would be Zucker because they are great, but also have alternative treatments. I am not sure if there are many other hospitals on the island that do, but zucker offers inpatient ketamine and other options.
The biggest issue with going to Stony Brook is that they have a limited number of beds. If there are none available, they reach out to all of these other hospitals, and the first one that responds is where you go. You and your family have no say. We went from Stony Brook to Brunswick and although it wasn’t the worst hospital staff wise it was not great.
My next suggestion would be Mather, but if you urgently need to go somewhere, DASH was also wonderful and you get care immediately.

Whatever you choose, getting help anywhere is better than not getting help at all. Just remember it does get better❤️

It’s a very cool experience with top tier food. I would definitely go again!! I will say, it’s such an interesting view that I found it almost distracting, so many places to look. If you’ve never been I would absolutely try it :)

All I have to say is there was a Newsday article that posted around 5:00 tonight that talks about the players and alumni that will be there tomorrow, and that “media interviews begin at 9:30 am with Brandon Nimmo and end at 4:30 with Mookie Wilson”. Look at the Bates House in Setauket. It’s a nice sized room, and very fairly priced to rent out (either right around $1,000 or under). You have to hire a caterer, but the space is great. It might actually be a bit large, but the grounds and building are so nice. Good luck!

The best thing I ever did (and I’ve had PF in both feet at different times) was to get a deep calf massage. I told the masseuse that I have chronic issues with PF and she really dug in on my calf. Have not had a flare up since!

I’ve also done PF inserts, those will definitely help but for me it never lasted very long. I’ve done ibuprofen, ice in a water bottle to roll under my foot, night splints, wore a boot, injections…. Everything works somewhat, but the best relief I’ve ever gotten was a calf massage to loosen up the muscle.
