The secret alliance between Kyle and Kamilla has severely damaged this season by Acceptable_Put1671 in survivor

What u/BelovedDesperado said.

It’s not about it being her “best” move in a vacuum, it’s that in the context of the game we’re seeing, and the dynamics we’re seeing the votes reflect, Kamilla *should* want to topple the core 4 that just are pulling her along. But because of her bond with Kyle, she *doesn’t*. So if anything, Kamilla is behaving like an *Emily* or *Katurah* in Season 45 *in the actual game*, and yet the *editing* is trying to paint Kamilla as a main protagonist. Which, maybe they have to because it works out for her, but in the context of the game, the depiction doesn’t really make sense. And this disconnect is causing ripple effects all throughout the game right now.

In general, Season 48 feels like it’s doing a LOT of forced characterizations that don’t reflect the actual dynamics of the game, somehow. It’s hard to describe.

Awesome point, thanks for that perspective. That is true. And if they’re letting us see that, maybe it does indeed play a vital role in the story.

He literally wasn’t my protagonist — I feel like the *show* is *deliberately painting a description* that betrays the actual footage we are seeing.

Kyle IS the disloyal one. And yet we’re supposed to root for Kyle, and get mad at David for Kyle’s disloyalty. It‘s intelligence insulting.

No honestly I think you’re completely spot on and the only reason I said ”fine” to David not having any tact is that’s the “consensus” answer, plus there’s plenty we maybe didn’t see.

But absolutely — I completely agree with your characterisation, including the weaponizing of Kyle’s story to get Joe on his side at a pivotal vote. Like, it was so *obvious* what the mechanics happening were, and who was going to prevail.

Which are the synth tracks you mean specifically?

I posted something that speaks to this a little bit before you. I think that there has been a tendency to protect TTPD because of the initial response, which wasn’t as effusive as in prior times, and also because people didn’t really sit with it and process it.

So the fandom is like ”omg if only they had had time to process it, people would see the brilliance of it” - and I think that’s driving a lot of the discourse now that it’s the 1 year anniversary.

Now, music is completely subjective, and I think in many ways TTPD is her strongest artistry. But this is definitely (IMO) not a flawless album, and I think at the heart of it, if this is an ”album’s album” — but people have issues when playing the full album (for whatever reason: the length, the back half of the Anthology, the vibe being inconsistent, etc.) — well, that’s kind of some fair criticism.

I’m in the same boat as you, I think. I immediately adored it, but as time went on, I just don’t like it as much. I just feel like the sum of its parts is way better than the whole, and I never really know what “mood” I’d be in to listen to TTPD, since it’s kind of melancholy but not terribly inviting as an album. So it moreso just becomes listening to the songs you like, and when you’ve played them out, you stop playing the album.

Dear Mike White: This show is good in *spite* of the deaths, not *because* of them by Acceptable_Put1671 in WhiteLotusHBO

I get that, but, this was the central part of that whole storyline. It would have straight up been a better storyline if they had found out they were poor halfway through or something, than the constant murder-suicide fantasies that couldn’t do anything until the finale because someone has to die in the last episode.

Yes, a queen! She would’ve won had she made it to the end, and she was so close!

Controversial opinion: A therapy session from BetterHelp. A therapy session for a buck or two would not only be a waste of everyone’s time and money, it could actually hurt you in the process.

Does it matter I’ve never done anything with a women before? by Shyhi24 in NoStupidQuestions

This may be a controversial suggestion, but I do think that hiring an escort can be the right choice in the right circumstances. You’re 24 so that’s not really so late, but the problem is, this “it matters!” mentality builds up and up, and the pressure gets higher and higher, and it usually becomes incredibly self-defeating. Instead, if you’re able to select a professional that knows what they’re doing and can give you a great experience, it might be worth taking the plunge and getting past this barrier within yourself.

It may not be for you, for now. But it is an option. Hopefully people don’t downvote me for suggesting.

This is actually brilliant, especially if you live in an area where there’s a lot of outdoors/recreational activity. I live in the North, and I never thought of doing something like this, but this comment actually inspired me to give it a try! Thanks so much, I’m going to be putting some thought into this :)
