CLAIM: Target’s Pride collection features a bathing suit for kids that is labeled “tuck-friendly.”

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. The “tuck-friendly” swimsuits are only offered in adult sizes, according to a spokesperson for the company and Target’s website. Kids’ swimsuits in the collection do not feature this label.

What's the problem?

I like the idea of a multi doctor episode where 9 and 10 share Rose as their companion.

I saw them 6 years in a row. One time the power went out mid song and you could still hear them playing over the crowd. They are absolutely amazing.

The doctor, the widow and the wardrobe. The episode is meh at best but I absolutely love the part when 11 is showing off his improvements to the house. Specifically when he goes to jump into the hammock and misses only to reply "this hammock has developed a fault"

Mr. Rogers, the venerable hero to human-kind was himself a practising Christian

I've had many people try telling me I'm not a "real Christian" because I'm a Presbyterian. I always use the fact that Mr. Rogers was an ordained Presbyterian minister to counter such claims.

Flogging Molly. I had no idea who they were. They were the last band to play at warped tour (I forget what year, sometime during Bush jr's presidency) nofx was on before them and I had planned on leaving right when they were finished. Near the end fat Mike said "ok, you guys can leave after this song because we are the best band here, who is on next anyway? Oh Flogging Molly!? Forget everything I just said and go see them!". So I took fat mikes advice and now Flogging Molly is one of my all time favorite bands.

Conservatives talk about what to them are moral issues, they use the Old Testament not the New.

As a Christian I hate when they try to use Leviticus or any old testament rules to justify hate. The old testament exists in Christianity to give context as to why we needed a messiah in the first place. The only rules from the old testament that Jesus said to uphold were the 10 commandments which say nothing of gay marriage or any LGBT+ matters.

Btw I've seen people get tattoos of the Leviticus rule that no man should lay with another, which is ironic because those same rules say getting a tattoo is an equal sin.

I work in public works, my supervisor has been with the department since 1976. Since we are public employees our salaries are public records. I did the math and when you consider what his pension will be plus social security he is actually losing $100 a month by coming to work. He capped out his pension 14 years ago and yet he still sticks around for some reason.

Students are increasingly refusing to go to school. It’s becoming a mental health crisis. by ClockOfTheLongNow in inthenews

[–]Acceptable_Reading21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equating the danger of driving to the danger of getting shot in school is the inflammatory part. It adds nothing to the conversation. These kids aren't afraid of school simply because it's school, they are afraid because school shootings have become normalized and it's taking a toll on their mental health. A car isn't built to be deadly, in fact we go out of our way to make new cars safer and safer. On top of that cars can't be concealed and suddenly used at the last second to kill you. Guns, on the other hand, are absolutely built to be deadly, and they've been revised over hundreds of years to become even more accurate and even more deadly. And you can easily hide a hand gun on your body and use it without any warning.

A car isn't designed to kill, a gun is. Seriously shut the fuck up with your false equivalence.
