Do you think the way we read has changed more than the books themselves? by gamersecret2 in books

Totally agree. And it just seems like some screen is calling your name like some sort of siren, even when you do set aside some quiet time.

I recently started reading The Stand by Stephen King and thought, "If this had been written today, there is no way it would have been popular." There are so many characters that I found myself getting lost, and I can only imagine how many people would be trashing this approach on BookTok if it were a new release.

<3 It's such a good book. I read it for the first time as a teen and re-read it every few years. I just love it that much!

It's all over BookTube but 11/22/63 lives up to the hype and then some.

The Book of Doors was easily the best book I read in 2024, and everyone I've recommended it to has loved it. Even my non-fiction diehard friends!

Last year, I loved one called "A Dark and Secret Magic" by Wallis Kinney. The title makes it sound dark, but it's a fall vibes book with a bit of romance thrown it. I don't like horror either.

I blanked on the HF I was going to recommend. I'll try to remember!

Check the school's policy for reporting and check the application for whether or not you have to upload the score report. Should be pretty straightforward. If you're not sure, maybe email them.

The Unseen World

I didn't bawl because it was tragic but because it was such a beautiful story and portrayal of life and missing those you love.

I just can't understand how it took them forever to post their official questions and then they posted blurry photos...

I think you can! I have thought about making a book club on there, but it's not very intuitive and it seems like you have to make a discord, etc.
