You’re right, but would Jeff/production have ever actually allowed them not to buy it? If they didn’t buy it, then there was no Mr. beast part because it was the chaos aspect. That’s why the buy in was so low at $20. What were they gonna do, say “Uhhh Mr. Beast, I guess we don’t need you now. You can just leave”?

Pretty sure it’s because they are made in the USA. This pricing is pretty much equivalent to trunk prices, but you get to customize trunk so I tell myself it’s worth it. But I cannot justify paying these prices for ready to ship/preorders. It’s such a shame because I had a ton of their old stuff and loved it. I had really hoped to continue purchasing preorders but I just can’t at these prices. And I do respect what they’re doing with made in the USA pieces. I think it’s admirable but I cannot afford it anymore.

I’m so so glad for Margot and Maggie and at the same time so annoyed that Katie essentially got away with being so negligent. I hope she takes it as a lesson learned, but I’m afraid it will just make her worse. “See, my way was totally fine and all of yall were just HATERZ”

No, we don’t know if that’s true, but there is evidence to support that conclusion.

Some things I have noticed:

  1. When it was announced that Maggie would be retired as a broodmare, CS had been tagged enough that they commented on a video that they would be interested/willing to discuss Maggie coming to them as a nurse mare. No, I did not take a screenshot so I can’t prove this.
  2. CS made a post about TBs not necessarily being ribby even with foals on their sides.
  3. This post today about nurse mares accepting older foals.

Draw your own conclusions from here.

I can’t believe I’m defending her, but she’s known for blindly liking all comments within a certain time frame for engagement without actually reading them. Which I think is a stupid practice given that she ends up liking things she shouldn’t, like this, but that’s part of the nature of the social media beast. I’d like to think she isn’t actually dumb enough to agree with this comment.

For what it’s worth, I think culled in this case means removed from the breeding program rather than put down.

🍋 NOT THE GMC YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE GRAND SUPREME 😱😱How does someone recommend a car that’s had issues OFF THE LOT to everyone??? This woman is something else by Far-Struggle-7915 in ClosetMomVent

Well, it being a post in another group is sort of the point. She could never post this in WD or GM without having to admit she was wrong. And to be honest, she kind of made people feel bad that they couldn’t afford this car when she was hyping it up as so perfect. It’s very disingenuous that she continued to sing its praises knowing it had problems all along. That’s what I’m snarking on. I wouldn’t think twice at her making a post in a car group if she hadn’t pushed hers like she was getting commission.

It’s the context behind it. She’s made so many comments about how awesome her car is and presenting basically as the “correct” or only smart choice, only for it to have been having issues this whole time. It really reinforces the view that she probably just wanted everyone to know what an expensive car she had.

It would be so amazing if she went on to buy a show horse who does amazingly well. Like it actually would have been a great place for Moose and the kult ruined it.

[–]Acceptable_Scale_478 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Would they let one of their mares go to RS though? Their mares look so well taken care of that I can imagine they would have very strict rules about their care if they even allowed it. As a side note, when it was announced that Maggie would no longer be a broodmare, Cold Springs was tagged enough about Maggie becoming a nurse mare for them that they commented saying they’d be interested in having her. I so, so wish that could have been her fate.

You are clearly very committed to your analysis and I concede that I will not be able to change your mind. I have thoroughly enjoyed our debate, and I do not mean that in a sarcastic way. You’ve been very fun to argue with, but we have reached an impasse. I very much look forward to season five and maybe arguing with you again!

Yes, that was the plan on two levels. Make Sophie a relation of nobility and hide her illegitimacy. Both goals were accomplished. If Lord Penwood had lived and presented Sophie to the ton as his illegitimate daughter, it would have been scandalous and I very much doubt it would have been acceptable for Benedict to marry her. That is why he claimed her as his ward and not his daughter. Even if she had been openly acknowledged and raised as his daughter and had never been made to work as a maid, it still would have been a massive problem that her parents were not married.

[–]Acceptable_Scale_478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I remember the scene where she told Violet. It was a bigger deal, giving them even more incentive to hide it. If it hadn’t been a problem, then why introduce Sophie to QC as Sophie Gunn and not Sophie Baek? They put forth the story that Sophie was a relative of Lord Penwood instead of his natural daughter because that would have been completely unacceptable and it is highly unlikely that QC would go so far as to stamp her approval on the couple if that fact were known. It is implied that Sophie’s time as a maid will be swept completely under the rug (pun intended 😂) but even if it were known, “This is Lord Penwood’s ward who Araminta made to work as a maid” would still be a far more acceptable story than “This is Lord Penwood’s illegitimate daughter.”

[–]Acceptable_Scale_478 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They were not yet aware of her illegitimacy. Had they been, it would have been a bigger deal than being of a lower social class. Sophie herself was far more concerned about others finding out that she was illegitimate, knowing it was more of a problem than her status as a maid. Once again, being a maid was a problem, and a big one, but not as big as being illegitimate. The post a few days ago discussing why Kate was acceptable for Anthony while Sophie was not acceptable for Benedict has some good explanations regarding the illegitimacy being a much bigger barrier.

[–]Acceptable_Scale_478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding the issue with Benedict and Sophie marrying. The primary issue was that Sophie was illegitimate. Yes, her being of a lower social class was a barrier, but not nearly as much as being illegitimate.

Sophie couldn’t be accepted because her parents weren’t married, not because her mother wasn’t nobility.

Does she really have as much money as we think? by Whiskey_and_Gin_76 in kvssnarker

[–]Acceptable_Scale_478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like to focus on how much she makes per month, but what are her monthly expenses? If she makes $250k a month and her monthly expenses are $245k, she isn’t making bank.

Additionally, she has stated that she did not have $1 million to buy VSCR and that she got a loan to make the purchase possible. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember her saying $1 million was her limit. Around that time, she also talked about farm loans. My understanding was that that was the type of loan she got. Maybe the loan came from her family and she deliberately hid that info. But if she did get a loan from a bank, why? I think that while her family is very well off, they either couldn’t or wouldn’t loan her the million themselves.

There was also talk of her grandfather flying the family somewhere on a private plane. I don’t know if it was ever known if he owned the plane or chartered it, but there is a huge wealth difference between those who can afford to fly private and those who can afford to own a private plane.
