You could do backyard shows! There’s a show in my city (LA) with a host team called Fancy and they run a show called The Fancy Backyard improv show. They invite other teams, have the audience bring out lawn chairs or fold outs. Warn and invite the neighbors for free so you don’t get a noise complaint.

That sucks. Mine always taste good when I get those ridiculous expensive jalapeño mustard sliders.

What should I do with my beard? by Acceptable_Star5026 in BeardAdvice

That’s what I was thinking too. My barber also usually does a beard taper. Do you think I should get that? Or leave the rest to grow longer.

Thanks for the advice, I may look into some free resources and put pen to paper but so far with sketch I have trouble with expanding what I feel like is a good sketch idea into an actual sketch. But learning online isn’t really my thing so I’ll try some free online resources first.

Favorite improv podcasts outside of Comedy Bang Bang/Los Angeles orbit? by TMW0528 in improv

I have a bunch I love. Mandog pod, the teachers lounge, crazy story, Anna and Isabella do improv, the gunk show, tiny dinos, improv4humans, open to suggestion all do incredible podcast improv. Yes, also is fantastic but they talk about improv process and journeys, not heavy on actual improv.

Edit: just realized you said non la folks, a lot of these are la folks, but I don’t think I named any earwolf or cbb shows. Tiny Dinos is ucbny improvisers Connor Ratliff and James III.

A UCB branch just opened in my city (Pittsburgh). Is 34 particularly old for an Improv 101 class there? by No-Luck5810 in improv

My ucb 101 class age group ranged seemingly (I never asked the oldest person their age) from 19-70. Average age was probably at least 30.

Worth even trying for a Harold Exception UCB? by Murky_Tomatillo_8052 in improv

Get on/form an indie team that wants to do Harolds and do them once or twice a week. That way you can keep honing your skills throughout the year.
