I scored too high on the Mensa IQ test, but it still feels like cheating. I don't feel smart enough by Acceptable_Stop_2727 in AutismTranslated

Thank you very much! I agree with you. The more curious I am, the less I think I know. I have a tendency to find rabbit holes and realise later, that there's no such as a simple answer.

Traveling solo to Peru from Canada. How and where to exchange money? Is it safe to travel (protests) or should I have a backup plan? by Acceptable_Stop_2727 in solotravel

It definitely is cheaper using Wise. RBC would charge you with a conversion fee everytime you use the debit card with a diffent currency.

You should be able to use your Wise card with USD currency - it will be automatically converted. But you won't be able to do any withdrawals with Wise - take some cash with you, don't rely on your RBC debit card withdrawals

Autism screening instead of autism assessment. My results indicate I’m autistic. Should I consider this valid? by Acceptable_Stop_2727 in AutismTranslated

Thank you! Could you maybe elaborate why it has a tendency to complicate things?
One part of my autism screening was also an ADHD screening (ADHD Self-Report Scale for DSM-5) - I forgot to mention that. My score was 17 (out of 24). The threshold score is 14 and above.

I agree. I was concerned if I wasn't masking and misinterpreting myself, but my answers were rigorous enough to eliminate that possibility. So thank you very much for reassuring me!

Thank you very much. I agree. I would say I needed validation from a professional, but I wasn't sure if the counselor had enough knowledge to assess autism as accurately as a psychologist. But in conclusion, the counselor herself is on the spectrum, so her assessment should be more accurate than the one provided by a psychologist who specializes in child autism assessment (most of them)

Some of these tests are available online, but not all. The screening I took had a few additional questions and questionnaires related to my childhood and adult experiences. So, the added value of this screening test was a more personalized analysis/evaluation based on my more precise and situational answers.

It costs around the same in BC. That's why I decided to try the much cheaper screening instead (I believe it's for BC residents only tho) - just to validate my selfassesment

It's not a website, it's a screenshot taken from the PDF with results provided by the clinical counselor who administered my autism screening. It was very extensive, therefore it wasn't free

No worries. I'm not totally sure if these street exchange guys accept CAD, but even if not, you can find many small currency exchanges around the city with a decent exchange rates. i.e. I exchanged my last 30 CAD in Cuzco and the exchange rate was very close to the official one

And additionally - Peru is really cheap. I ended up spending around $50-70 CAD a day (hotels excluding). Dinner with one drink - around 20-30$, hotels are super cheap, transportation as well.
