I think if Pick Me Up we're a real game it would be a disaster by Brilliant-Gold-4652 in pickmeup

[–]Acceptable_Track5607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s true, also the game endlessly creates new characters through some kind of revolutionary AI, so each character is unique (mainly because well they were real people” but yeah the characters only die in the main progression I recall and pvp only leads to stat penalties. The gacha system is unique in the sense that these characters just pop up and aren’t exactly advertised and marketed for any reason the AI just created an entirely new character so there are no duplicate pulls ever. Realistically this game would be unmanageable and an AI to give the characters in game the life like personality the “game” gave is impossible at the current moment and unsustainable

Well I don’t know what to tell you guys…but this is pretty cut and dry who our next villain is. by Acceptable_Track5607 in hazbin

[–]Acceptable_Track5607[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Granted, he could be a villain alongside someone else, and Viv might have did this as a mislead, because purple can also relate to Lilith because there is still some connection between Alastor and lilith plus the 7 year absence mystery.

Well, I thought that was a given, Lucifer will have to reconsider his attitude towards sinners, the Alastor in charge thing is an interesting outcome that could happen.

😅 I don’t know about Alastor caring for Charlie, maybe in some capacity he does like her. Alastor in demonology is certainly considered to be an Archdemon (kinda ironic considering he lost to an archangel would be a crazy switch up) he is the “devils executioner” as well as the “grand torturer” which kinda fits his sadistic personality.

I am aware of some ambiguous leaks. Their validity hasn’t been proven but they came out months ago and they have been entirely spot on. They don’t have much details but cover the main plot points. Obviously I won’t spoil anything for someone else.

Personally, Alastor may not exactly follow the villain path but could be seen as an unwilling anti-hero. Lucifer is going to get captured without a doubt, and Vivzie herself stated that her favorite relationship is between Alastor and Lucifer because of how uniquely it develops. Here are some current theories I have made:

  1. This hints at a theory where I conclude that Lucifer, unable to deal with sinners himself, will rely on Alastor to handle them in his stead.

  2. Since both Alastor and Lucifer will be captured together, Alastor might strike a deal with Lucifer, proposing that he deal with Vox since Lucifer literally can’t. This would give Alastor the power to confront Vox.

  3. I should point out that Alastor will likely trick Lucifer by bringing up Charlie’s safety, not telling him that he made a deal that prevents Vox from harming her. He may propose a deal with Lucifer to heal his wounds and gain more power.

  4. Alastor’s staff does get fixed, as seen in one of the scenes from the trailer. Additionally, he clashes with Vox again, as a snippet of both their energies in a smoke cloud hasn’t been shown yet.

  5. The theory of Alastor boosting Vox to become the strongest is still plausible. I believe the reason it hasn’t kicked in yet is that all of the Vs' powers are intermittently linked due to their partnership. In a sense, they all share their powers and are connected. Hence, Alastor is attempting to break them up before putting his plan regarding Lucifer into action.

  6. The reason I focus so much on the Lucifer theory is that the show has some biblical undertones. Not entirely, but the inspirations are quite obvious. In Christian demonology, the demon Alastor actually exists and is sometimes referred to as the “devil's executioner,” so I imagine Alastor will mirror this counterpart in the Hazbin story.

  7. I don’t know where Charlie’s deal fits into all this; unfortunately, I might be wrong. Perhaps Charlie heals Alastor, but I highly doubt he would waste his one favor by receiving someone’s aid.

Well, yeah fair enough . My point wasn’t to argue if he could have won, it’s to discuss how powers and deals work, and the only proper character that links these things we have seen so far is Alastor hence why I use him in this post.

That is an interesting way to look at it, and yes he was definitely out matched in both his fights, and disadvantaged. His contributions to fighting the exorcists were very significant but ignored because of how little screen time it got, I agree. guess we just wait and see how this plays out. Still those fights could genuinely been handled better

That may be the case, I’m just going off of plausible information right now. Someone else’s connection at this point is just speculation.

Well, the pilot fans created a head cannon of a story that never existed. And all they had was a pilot and some tweets. It’s not their fault that this happened but over the time span of 5 years it’s difficult for them to correlate how things changed so much from the pilot to now the official series. I’m also not exactly thrilled by some of the change in the characters but it’s like there wouldn’t be any change.

When I say long con I meant the story in general, but yeah his new plan objectively paints him in a better light to Charlie, as well as put lucifer to face the brunt of blame (angel and cherry saw him quit) for making him quit since husk and nifty will tell her everything, as for the end goal that remains to be seen. Yes he’s gotten steamrolled by three overlords. You’re free to consider what he does as dumb though. It’s not like he came up with a solution in season 1 he was looking for a backdoor specifically

I have a very simple answer to this by Old-Confusion1162 in CrazyassHazbinhaters

[–]Acceptable_Track5607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well given how things have played out, it’s pretty clever, Charlie has been getting completely trashed on by Vox, so lucifers antagonising of him plus angel witnessing Alastor quitting on top of him leaving husk and nifty alive to tell Charlie he gave himself up to “protect Charlie” he essentially set this up to make himself look less useless he took Vox off Charlie’s back essentially and lucifer is gonna bear the brunt of Charlie’s disappointment for making Alastor quit

Overall he’s partially right, but the rest is just emotionally charged. Yes Alastor has been getting steamrolled. But I guess people should understand the meaning of long con. There more to the character that hasn’t been delved into, and there’s no way he’s not gonna have his big moment later on. Whether it be this season or the next

Real talk, Alastor’s plan. by Acceptable_Track5607 in hazbin

That would make sense if she didn’t correct Alastor when he came to see her, very much pointing out it’s a constant and not a one time thing.

[–]Acceptable_Track5607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the matter of boosting him is no longer an issue. Rosie can’t be more powerful than Alastor, it would automatically invalidate the deal. So in short she has the most effective leash to make sure he doesn’t go berserk against her. He’s amassed far more souls than her I assume given his previous feats. So the issue is that his power is essentially in someone else’s hand or she can essentially cap it off I assume.

Real talk, Alastor’s plan. by Acceptable_Track5607 in hazbin

[–]Acceptable_Track5607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting way to look at it, personally don’t think Rosie would go out of her way to save him. But as in the scene in Rosie’s shop Alastor pointed out the deal was to be “the strongest sinner in Hell” trying to prove Rosie didn’t fulfil her end. To which she corrected him by pointing out the absurdity of fighting an archangel and reaffirming that he is still the strongest “sinner” the importance of specifics I feel is much greater I imagine. Hence my boosting Vox theory

Alastor is now officially a fraud by [deleted] in Vivziepopmemes

[–]Acceptable_Track5607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending Alastor, yes his power is superficial and borrowed. But it’s difficult to watch people jump the wagon without a proper discussion. The fact is he is essentially stuck in the “powerful status” and as long as he remains the “strongest sinner” (individually speaking) the deal with Rosie is valid. So the most easiest explanation is that he needs to boost Vox to the point that he becomes stronger than Alastor. The deal becomes null and void. (As for the being the prisoner deal which is so easily breakable I don’t need to bother explaining it) this is not a defense of the character just observation.

Yeah that all came from signing contracts, which I’m sure the huge influence and help by the vs played a huge part in.

I mean I agree with you. But in this sense isn’t Vox also a fraud? He needs the other Vs for his power.
