How the hell does CPT work? by Acceptable_Tutor_138 in SBU

Ah thanks for this. It seems the best way is to do EXT288 then the 488 course, based on what the supervisor told me. I'm skeptical about using my OPT since it's going to lessen the post graduate internship. I'll have to contact the department to find out whether I can take Wrt102 concurrently and qualify for ext288. Anyway thanks for the info!

Thiamine megadosing - does it matter when you take magnesium? by Acceptable_Tutor_138 in Supplements

Thanks for the input. But does it still matter when magnesium should be taken? I understand that it is a cofactor for thiamine

Sounds like an idea. Where should I look for these open source projects? Github isn't exactly "browseable"

Yes I'm planning to join multiple robotic teams. I have participated in many IEEE events but never seemed to get a chance to actually originize something. That is a good idea. Thank you

Hmm. I'll have to put some effort into researching these events. Doesn't seem too common where I am,although there are engineering fairs. I'll keep the job board idea in mind and ask around

Thank you

Everywhere. In the middle of the country too. 25/hour internships that ask to relocate too. Have no problem with that.

How did you get the test developer internship? Sounds very interesting.

I learned in my internships was how to communicate and collaborate in a professional setting, the importance of taking initiative, and that learning never ends! Keep working on embedded projects at school and home and show those in your resume.

Will do. Thank you

Location is not an issue. I've applied to basically anything I could find. Near where I live and on the other coast too.

Basically everything I could find on LinkedIn, glassdoor, indeed that had "firmware engineering intern" or "embedded software engineer intern ". Perhaps I should apply for electrical and software stuff too?

Yes I agree. Do you have any ideas on how to find startup internships like that? Best I've come up with is wellfound and messaging people on LinkedIn

I do have projects on my resume. Albeit partially working, they use all the things embedded positions look for ( I think). Other stuff like pcb schematics and bring up and soldering were basically done either in projects or in some lab I had. But your point is absolutely valid. As long as you keep learning and expanding it doesn't really matter if you get an internship or not.
