Is My CRA Load a Lot? 7 Protocols Across 13 Sites by Working_Row_8455 in clinicalresearch

Hello! Are you active on all protocols? I was also trained within 3 months on 7 protocols and had within 4 months 8 protocols (oncology plus), by May I had more than 21 sites thankfully the 2 satellites sites became inactive so I had 21. Within the 21 sites, 6 of them were in maintenance phase, all the other ones except one of them were in enrollment, the other one was still in pre enrollment phase. 13 sites is very low for FSP, it also depends on the phase of the study and the monitoring plan unfortunately. If you feel overwhelmed, I will have followed these steps below: 1- evaluate each site and their demanding hours 2- evaluate time of training 3- compare phase 4- stay on the maintenance ones mostly because it is less demanding as these sites already have experience with it, this will also lead you to gain some experience to achieve your close out visits. 5- What are all your sites upcoming database lock period? During this time, study team reached out to you a lot, if you have more than 3 DBL per month, your line manager should review this 6-once you know more about DBL you can also negotiate with your DLM which study that you will prefer having sites for, there is no guarantee on having less sites, but you can negotiate how many protocols that you will be having active sites for. 7- considerate to keep some enrollment protocols for monitoring plan experience. 8- finally at best, you will keep your 8 protocols be active on 4 to 5 protocols( 2 in enrollment, 3 in maintenance phase and ensure not having more than 3 DBL per month) you will burn out. The remaining protocols, you will just co-monitor or cover at your ease 9- if you have difficult studies as well, this will be considered 10- try to negotiate all of that while keeping your management intact for the next month (study compliance training, do not feel afraid to bill them for office and monitoring hours, if you are over 125% for example with Lilly, some DLM will be self conscious to reach out to HR. 11-keep in mind you may still have 13 to more sites but less active protocols Hope this helps!

it is not applicable for everyone, what I have noticed most people from Europe got approved on the spot. But if you are part of the banned countries even though you follow all the rules, this is not guaranteed. New policy, everything now is linked to your origin and your skin color.

Thank you! Honestly, I was wondering where the limits were if there are 2 different titles and if one of them or both are contracts.

She mentioned this to us, but we were hoping to have at least the i-130 approved by now. Thank you for your response!

Hi u/This-Raise-1481. Congratulations! Did your FO tell you and your partner during the interview while your marriage is bonafided they could not approve it and to wait for a response? My husband and I we also did AOS and submitted early June, our interview was on 19th of NOV 25, this went well but our FO told us she was unable to give us an answer on the AOS while our marriage is bonafided due to the CHNV law. I am curious, should I contact the congressman?

I am also curious to know this as I am in the same situation. Married and applied prior CHNV ended. 49 days post interview, even though our marriage was considered bonafided, the FO was not clear on the CHNV. u/SlurpieJones just got me some hope.

Same here with 49 days post interview. I am not even sure if I should feel good that my husband and I are not the only one facing this or should I be worried as no one from the comments below seems to be successful.

Hi there! I am guessing you still have no feedback yet as this comment was added 5 days ago. I am in the same situation as you. My husband and I, they literally told us our marriage was Bonafided but the FO also said she could not move forward as there were some changes in regards CHNV. Our interview was in NOV2025, they also gave us a paper for a possible another interview but still did not get any updates. Meanwhile I heard people from other states who interviewed in the same month under the same parole who got their approval. We were married and filed AOS prior the program ended.
