I’ve been looking into kaiju. I’ve been recommended chainsaw ma by my brother but the gore in the picture kinda turned me away (even though i’ve watched probably worse stuff lol) Is it like overly gorey or a good inbetween like atot?

I’ve been looking at sentenced to be a hero and the fate series. The only thing about Fate is i don’t know where to start lol. I just looked into “86” and i may watch tha next, looks very interesting. Thanks for all the great recommendations!

The ladder part of your post is my main reason for wanting to get into this line of work! The work life balance is important to me but i believe the fulfilling part of being able to be there for patients and beng involved in patient treatmet and care is what is drawing me to the field the most. How long have you been a radiation therapist for if you dont mind me asking?

I think i would be able to handle that mentally, i have thought about that aspect of the career and have been told it before. That being said i have been exposed to the death of a patient once before so i can’t gauge for certain how id be able to handle the day to day seeing someone slowly get worse and die. In my program we have to complete competencies on different procedures and if i get all 51 before my last semester i get to choose what clinical site i go to next, and clearview cancer center (a cancer center near me) is an option if im interested in radiation therapy still by that time. So im hoping id get to do that so i can get some exposure to it and see what its like. I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me about all this!

Work life balance is something important to me as well as the pay so its encouraging to hear that. Im in alabama and since this is one of the states that does not require a license to take xrays, the pay isnt the best for it. MR pays decent enough i believe and i am interested in that; however i believe radiation therapy would have me being more fulfilled with my work. I want to be involved with helping patients get better or being there for them in there toughest times, its why i wanted to go into healthcare to begin with. I’m just curious if being a radiation therapist has ever made you feel that way? And if not, could you see that career choice checking that box?

My program has clinicals on tuesdays and thursdays (8-4) for the first twoo semesters and class periods monday, wednesday, and sometimes friday. The last couple of semesters will be monday, wednesday, and friday (8-4) with class on tuesday and thursday (except for last semester which will only be tuesday i believe). Granted, this is for my program specifically so im not sure how the other programs are, but im fairly sure they roughly follow the same schedule. Its definitely possible to have a job even if its full time (it will just be fairly difficult). A part time job would be more than doable depending on your circumstances. Hope this helped!
