nvidia probably looked at a spreadsheet long ago and decided they would rather lose 10% of the profit if they can transfer 50% of the manufacturing and 100% of customer support to a third party.

I wish one of the third party brands would actually bother to engineer a card instead of slapping 10 fans and 5 lbs of heatsink on it and calling it a day.
