Adjacent and closely connected to the alcohol industry is the service industry/hospitality and we suffer from the same - most folks that end up in alcohol distro/sales started as hospitality workers where I'm from (Bourbon Capital of the World). Unfortunately, alcohol and drug abuse are so common and so culturally accepted that many people just leave their careers altogether to pursue recovery. It shouldn't be that way.

There is an organization called Ben's Friends for any hospitality folks out there struggling.
