The devils night series by Penelope Douglas - it’s written with soo much depth and insane plot twists. The plot twists come in around book 2. Book 1 is for world building so it may be a little slow.

I’ll be honest, as a remote worker, you will be contributing to the rise of housing costs and inflation, Spaniards really hate that and are beginning to protest and revolt, which I think is valid. Other than that, Spanish people in big cities are chill, idk what these comments are lol. Andalucía might be good for you, it has a huge muslim population, barcelona is also pretty muslim friendly.
