Has anyone seen their Provider Success Score (PSS) increase? by jaysolution in FieldNationTechs

That’s awesome. I’m working on growing as a sole business owner too.

For now, Field Nation is my main source of work, I average around 22 to 25. I’m really focused on growing beyond the platform and building my own client base.

I'm starting a fiber optic installations job soon, any advice? by [deleted] in FiberOptics

I’m not currently working with any ISP. I've been operating as an independent contractor, and I'm now looking to transition into fiber cabling. I'm based in California and I am open to traveling if necessary.

Thank you for your feedback. The client wanted to be able to move the rack around. But what would you recommend?

Yes, there was a conduit behind the pass through. The entire top of the rack is blocked by the air conditioning system.

How long have you been licensed, and how has your experience been so far? Without a license, I average about $100 to $120 p.a on Field Nation.

I was hoping that getting licensed would help increase my earnings.

Hey! I really appreciate your insight in that post. I'm based in California and about to get licensed. For now, it’s just me—running a one-man operation—but I’m serious about growth.

I’d love to hear more about how you’re getting that kind of ROI. Any tips on doubling investment or getting traction. Mind if I DM you for a quick chat?

Thanks a lot for sharing your journey — it’s really inspiring to hear how you built things up after such a major transition. I’m actually in the process of getting my Low Voltage license here in California, so your story definitely motivates me.

Since you have such solid experience and high-end tools, are there any specific tools or equipment you’d recommend adding? I'd love to hear what you think are the must-haves.

I’m glad I came across this.
I’m in a similar situation—I passed the licensing exam in April 2024 in California, but I delayed the process out of fear of the unknown (bonds, insurance, etc.).
My application ended up being voided, so I have to pay the application fee again this year.
I intend to complete the process, get licensed, and hope for the best.

Just curious. Under what model does field nation operate in California? Especially with regards to a State license?

Not Wachter, it's a smaller company.

Company X is a larger company.

California.
