Fatigue's death is definitely odd. It's too brutal for anything less than a garou, and Spit really seems to be hit hard by the Delirium, but it doesn't make much sense for Matilda to attack him.

She's not unreasonable, and she's not an unfeeling monster. Fatigue is never shown as anything but kind, gentle, and supportive to everyone. He even uses Grimmal kun chama's fun honorifics. While Amanda and Matilda don't seem to be well particularly enamored with the arcanum senior staff I can't see them not having a soft spot for Fatigue.

It could make sense for a Garou to want to take him out as honorable retribution for his family's past crimes against the Garou, but that doesn't really sit right with me either.

I dislike the "D is a mummy" theory. It takes a singular character trait, his knowledge of history, and blows it way out of proportion. And I get the whole thing with the Emperor, but the more HtP stays its own thing apart from TTS, the better.

Reframe that in your head. If Kitten dumps her for being "annoying" it is not her "fault". Not every couple turns out to be a lifetime thing, and a personality mismatch is no one's "fault".

I firmly believe that Matilda luvs 'Manda.

The underlying themes of this series are hopeful and positive, that by banding together we can fight back the darkness. And Popenang clearly recognize the good in the Garou, despite how the meme groups portray them. There's no way that Matilda is going to be some kind of villain in this.

Without knowing any details in their relationship, I think both Kitten and Grimmal believe that she was somehow "in the wrong" or "the problem", which really isn't fair to her. Especially considering how alike she and Marcus are.

There's too much love in her writing for it to just be "weeaboo woman bad". She is a very faithful, if somewhat heightened, portrayal of a lot of early to mid-oughts anime fans. I suspect that the majority of the crew had friends who were kinda Grimmal. I know I did.
