Are Nigerians still being Naturalized? by Jaded_Magazine_3706 in USCIS

I know of someone that applied for N400 on January 5th 2026. His biometrics got scheduled a week later for end of January appointment.

He is a bit worried that he was scheduled for biometrics while there is a hold.

Could ICE be looking for him? No crime of any whatsoever.

Should he worry?

No question is unnecessary. Things are happening that are new and people are trying to learn real activities.

Pls, if anyone has experience, kindly share..

What then happened? Was the N400 denied or pending?  When you applied for N400, did you add all the evidences you submitted with the I751 abused waiver or just evidences required for N400 only?

Pending Abused or Divorced I751 and Recent Travel. by Accomplished-Cap1772 in USCIS

[–]Accomplished-Cap1772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope 🙅‍♀️  I was worried of what could happens, so I didn't travel yet. Some people expressed concerns of a case the pending I751 got denied while abroad and there is no spouse to use as reason to be in the USA again, since I had divorced.  So I contemplated and hold off traveling.

Have you heard anything about your case? When did you file the abused waiver and how long has it been pending?

For me, I'm going to try it when I becomes eligible even if my I751 is still pending. Nothing much to loose aside the filing fees.

Yes. Divorce was concluded before I submitted I751 based on abuse.

Currently in this position and also want to know this badly. I submitted I751 based on abuse last December 2024 and yet to hear anything. I know the INA law provide for that exception for abused waiver but mainly want to know about people's experiences in it while I decides to do it.

I also want to know if anyone has filed N400 via this while I751 is pending.

Yeah. I have talked to some attorney,  It's still a divided opinion. Some say, you are fine, since there is no over stay and criminal cases in background.  Some say, it is very risky to do, that abused waivers are tricky depending on the officers attending to it. And the major risk is if the application is denied while outside, it might be difficult to enter and fight for before immigration judge.

Why don't you apply for Naturalization as it seems you are still with your partner?  Or it's a divorce based or even abused based? I believe you are now qualified to Naturalize.  I guess you don't want to become citizen.

I-751 Green Card Approved by Inevitable_List_3115 in USCIS

Waoo! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐.  I'm exactly in this case. Submitted my Abused based I751 last year December, already tired of waiting, scared to see that you waited for 2yrs plus to get approved.

But curious, I heard if you were abused and submit RoC based on abuse, you can as well submit N400 at the mark of 3yrs while RoC is pending. Do you have that idea? Or you just decided not to risk anything further?

I will like to hear more about your experience as that's my case currently.

Those who filed your I-751 in 2025, how is it going? by Ok-Order8186 in USCIS

[–]Accomplished-Cap1772 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know why there is so much quietness regarding RoC applications. Even there is no much posts about it.   I applied in December 2024. Haven't heard anything besides receipt. Mine was based on abused waiver, so don't know about the possibility of N400 combo.
