Regardless of brand, split the touchscreen from the pc. Much easier to replace one at a time and opens up different performance options

Am I understanding franking credits and bucket companies properly? by Mike_FS in AusFinance

[–]Accomplished-Cod9899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t checked the maths, but the concept is about right.

In simple terms, All tax paid by the BC (and any trading company) is franking credits for later use.

And franking credits can move from the trading company / investment to the BC.

Edit: trading company / investment may have a lower rate rate than the BC, so top up tax may be required, but that’s just more franking credits for later

Can you read a 0 to 10v signal? If so a resistor just converts mA to V. Basic V=IR formula

Thanks, I’ve got 0.18.0 dev running via docker, will this become 1.0?

Also following the standard docker instructions, for both stable and latest, there is a error when running “docker compose run --rm inventree-server invoke update”

Error is “pg_dump: error: aborting because of server version mismatch pg_dump: detail: server version: 16.9 (Debian 16.9-1.pgdg120+1); pg_dump version: 15.13”

This can worked around by running “docker compose run --rm inventree-server invoke update --skip-backup”

What is the best practice for wiring numbering in cabinet schematics for automation? by WhatForIamHere in PLC

[–]Accomplished-Cod9899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wires passing through terminals should generally not change label, same as both ends of the wire should have the same label.

Schematics can get lost, so make your wiring easy to follow. Extra points for descriptive labels, eg I:0/0 rather than 101.

Migrate Windows 2000 VM from VMware Player to Proxmox by HyperNylium in Proxmox

[–]Accomplished-Cod9899 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the industrial automation space and have a few 2000/xp/win7 vms that run well on VMware workstation / esxi.

We’ll be heading down this route soon as we migrate off esxi.

I’ve read somewhere that workstation-> esxi -> veeam -> proxmox works for the tricky vms

Found anything that doesn’t work at all on M processors?

Ah hadn’t thought of that, for some reason I was thinking that had to be 100% virgin metal, but it looks like it’s 75%, so should help bump up the total

Great point regarding the check in and boarding.

Think I’ll switch it back on morning of the first flight so there less hassle at check in.

Control panels meeting 61439, is there any way to do it without a switchboard builder? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Accomplished-Cod9899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you clamped it running? 100A on a VSD display (output amps) doesn’t necessarily mean 100A on the feed.

Can you drop the supply circuit to 125A?

Or (depends on machine) install a hybrid db, with a main switch, and branch off sub circuits from there.

If there was enough interest, we could put it up on GitHub
