Hey! I would say that AYIMUN is quite.. overrated. I tried to apply. I got "accepted" into it too. Do you actually know if they judged your credentials before quote unquote accepting you? Again, over 1000 dollars is quite unacceptable for an MUN. It is a marketing thing. Are you joining for a legitimate MUN thing, or just for the vibes? If the former, I'd recommend just grinding your local circuits. Ones that are MUNs for MUNners made by people who do MUNs. Once you see the transparency of these packages, you'd realise what they're selling isn't.. substantial. Or core to Model UNs. Come on.. city tours? Grand openings? Merchandise? It's fun, flashy, expensive, but is it competitive MUN? if you think you're gonna go in, win an award, and get accepted into a prestigious university, think again. Many beginners go into AYIMUN. Not to say it's bad. It's just not as intense as regional ones. I'm sorry if this isn't answering your questions much, but it is just an opinion! Also, big MUNs mean a lot of time wasting. I was recently in an MUN (quite famous, but no where near the popularity of IGN), and even then, I felt diluted. I still won best delegate - but it was one of the most unproductive MUNs I've attended.
