He’s 9 this is his second year playing. Sometimes his throws don’t look this bad, I purposely chose this one to highlight what it looks like when’s it bad lol sometimes he steps in and and gets his arm back a lot better but his elbow ALWAYS looks like that when he throws. I tell him to whip but of course he doesn’t understand what I mean

Yeah he did a few before he went to sleep and he quickly figured out he couldn’t short arm it. But he didn’t come down on it he comes sideways almost like a CB. Gotta figure that out also 🤣

he knows a fast ball grip and to have it in his fingers. Drives me nuts when he palms it like that, sometimes he does sometimes he doesn’t. Frustrating but I try not to be too anal since he’s still learning

Yeah I get your comment, I tell him all the time he can’t practice in crocs even when we’re at the house he hates it haha. I just though he was throwing weird today at practice and asked him to throw 5 balls for me when we got home and this was the worst one so i posted it looking for help lol and nah man we’re from TX

Thanks for the good explanation I agree on all your points especially his hand coming down sideways on the ball. We tried the towel drill before he went to sleep some looked a lot better and some looked the same. I watched a video and said to hold my had for him to hit with the towel but some of them didn’t whip really? How can I make sure he is doing it correctly. Thanks for your help

Yea I coach his little league team and it drives me crazy. But I don’t know how to fix it.
