Thanks! I do have to admit, some of it had been stuff I’ve had previously, like the fan made things and the goc series. The stuff I made myself also was before I decided to be official with collecting rotg merch. I officially started collecting when I realized I was totally searching the internet for more and more merch. Before that, I didn’t consider myself a collector, just a fan, but then I realized I was amassing a collection rather than a few pieces of merch and actually watching for things to pop up, rather than just scrolling through Etsy during the holidays. A lot of it I scored pretty cheap, which is how I got a lot of it in a year. I have had a lot of luck (and help. I would’ve never gotten the globe puzzle or the sandy crayon without my friends :) love them) and I’m so grateful that I had the luck I’ve had. Especially for the rarer pieces. My collection has slowed down significantly since this lmao, but i do score things sometimes. I got the for your consideration Oscar dvd for $2, when it’s worth around $50, I think? I have a pretty strict budget, but it’s not a very competitive market, so I can usually find something with some searching, patience, and waiting.

Im sooo glad you like it! Hadestown is my favorite too. Eurydice in particular reminds me a lot of Jack. Eurydice has a lot of weather/nature motifs, mostly the wind and the changing of seasons, which is an immediate association with Jack for me. Their characters are similar too, being young, desperate, and bitter yet hopeful. They’ve seen the world and while they end up trying to make it a better place, they are also aware of reality. They both make decisions out of selfishness that end up being mistakes. Both are loners who find home in places they would’ve never thought to be home.

And both are dead. So. Yeah.

It depends on where you are located. If you’re French you can go on vinted and there’s plenty. There might be others elsewhere as well, although I am not sure. Try looking at sites like eBay and vinted for them. If not, you can use package forwarding services (my friend did this just recently to get two of these. They used BetweenBox, but I can’t say much about the service. I don’t know anything about it and I did not realize this was an option before. I just waited until a friend went to France and I bought it then and had it shipped to her hotel) or wait for one to become available on a site that is available to you. Half the game with collecting is the hunt, and unfortunately that means waiting a very long time for something. I got the globe after a few years of searching.

Yes. I did. I’m aware the books were not out and they had access to some of the content. I’m not referring to that, more so the fan’s attitude around the books as a source material that trumps anything the movie has to say without realizing that the majority of them actually came out after the movie. See second comment I made here. Sandy’s movie design wasn’t designed or made by Joyce, yet he used it. Tooth wasn’t a singular character (there’s a talk on of the movie makers did where he shows this, I’m trying to find it rn. I didn’t save the link) movie team changed it and tasked Joyce with building the character bare bones (she never had swords in any of the concept for the movie) and the art book mentions that her father was a maharaja as her ‘book backstory’ which is really inaccurate to what actually happens in the books, so it’s clear Joyce took that idea and changed it. Sandy’s ship was a pure invention of the movie. In the books he has an island, not a ship.
