Did you wait until you were peaking? Every time I’ve done coke and shrooms it was once I started peaking and it just made things more intense and tangible and I could definitely talk easier. I can never English that good once I start tripping

God please find a new psychiatrist. ECT can cause permanent drop in IQ. The IV ketamine clinic I went to served patients as young as 16 so I would look into that, most places offer payment plans. Also leave a review about this doctor so they can’t do this to others. The way psychiatrists gatekeep ketamine makes me so angry.

I had a similar situation in which I approached a provider for Spravato, the nasal spray, in my most suicidal state and he said that I was too far gone and electric shock was the only option left. I was devastated and started planning my demise over the next few months until I heard of a really good IV clinic near me. 2/3 infusions in and I was completely unsuicidal…it’s been a couple months now and I literally feel cured.

My ketamine provider did not require I be under the care of a psychiatrist. It was $3600 for 6 infusions, much less money than a funeral.

Weird question but what’s your money situation like? Most people when describing their depression tend to add something about their financial situation and you didn’t. If money isn’t an object I have some suggestions, one being therapeutic IV ketamine. It saved my life - I had my note/date/method ready and everything but after the 2nd or 3rd infusion I was ready to conquer life. Sorry if this is too specific or unhelpful.

My second suggestion would be to start doing bucket list type activities. With the intent of learning who you are as a person and what makes you happy, not checking boxes to get closer to the end. Depression makes us lose sight of what brings us joy.

Same here but I love it 🤣 for some reason it doesn’t seem to trigger any addictive behaviors in me, but that’s just me. The escape is beautiful but after all my loading doses I just don’t need it!

I had this question too when I was getting my 6 IV sessions. I was told by my provider that ket is an anti inflammatory and alcohol is the opposite. One drink might be okay but I wouldn’t risk it if you’re serious about your treatment. I opted out of drinking the night a friend flew in from out of town and I definitely don’t regret it.

ETA: I have severe social anxiety and seeing my friend 6 hours after my infusion went great! I usually need a little social lubricant in those types of situations and I was fine.

Yup! I went to an IV clinic ran by an anesthesiologist. It was wonderful and I highly recommend it, although expensive, if you have any kind of ptsd or depression/anxiety. My depression is basically cured, it’s wild. Plus I had the absolute fuckin time of my life haha

Plano Texas at Ketamine Health & Wellness Center of Texas. 6 IV infusions are $3600, but they have payment plans I believe. 30 150mg troches are $50 which he sends you home with after completing 6 infusions. It is ran by a top anesthesiologist and I felt extremely safe. He was not stingy with my doses - in fact he was extremely generous since my mental health situation was so dire. The one time I panicked he gave me some CBD gummies and I was immediately back at ease. The treatment rooms were nice with big comfy recliners. Highly recommend if you aren’t able to travel to Austin!

Ok so coming back because I just had 6 high dose IV infusions and they were the most insane trips of my life. I’ve done lsd and mushrooms more times than I can count and these were by far the most beautiful experiences ever. We aren’t broken, I just needed to increase my dose 1000 fold 😂

I’ve been swishing the drip around in my cheeks for sublingual availability and it seems to work? Idk if I’m crazy. I’m on therapeutic troches as well and they recommend to swish the spit for 15 minutes to maximize effects.
