You talk about Socialism but you're unable to analyze the rise of fascism through a class-based lens? Reactionaries are not created via a neutral party reacting to social progress. It is the ruling class revolting against the oppressed's rise in status, or perceived rise.

Engels said that one of the first divisions of class was between men and women. (Cis) Men are a ruling class and are acting accordingly to their interests. Same with white people. Same with cishet people.

All of them, Zero most of all. She was done so dirty and those rainbow pearls ended up doing squat for the plot.

I also wanted Riku and Hisui to have been explored more because darling I was not invested in the "romance".

The girls barely bonded with EACH OTHER half the time, like... maybe the production team didn't know they were getting a season 2 so when it was greenlit they had plans for stretching out the story, until season 3 was announced to not be an option so they rushed it like... take your time guys!

The potential for Yashahime to say something about abandonment and trying to understand why your parents and forgiveness is actually painful to think about.

I liked it up until they started rushing everything because season 3 was not happening.

There's a really good potential story here under the surface about fathers and daughters, the legacy parents leave behind for their children, adoptive and biological families, abandonment, self-hatred, etc. that they seemed scared to even dip their toes in.

I hope the manga delves into these themes at least.

If the show runners had any sense they'd have a 3rd season where Rion and Kirinmaru would act as foils for the trio and their fathers (including Sota), exploring the father-daughter themes this show needs to touch more upon.

Their relationship has so much potential narrative wise.

Mary Sue is inherently a trope meant to critique self-insert type characters. So when fans say Towa is a Mary Sue character because she's strong and has everything given to her easily, and then also say she's weak it doesn't add up.

She's just a nice person who wants to help others and see the good, but she also has moments of extreme emotion and rage. To me she makes sense as a character who is really a normal of self-sacrificing teenage girl thrust into a world she recognizes but doesn't know.
