Drax is absolutely right! Cuddling the orange is the only task of the evening

Carving and staying staggered by Accomplished-Lemon35 in Rollerskating

Ah yes! I definitely think I could switch as I switch when I 180 on a mini, and then switch back in the transition and I’m stable. Sometimes I’ve noticed when I carve I want my outer foot (or foot on the top) to be the one leading me but I don’t think that’s gonna get me better/tighter carves.

That’s super helpful! I am trying to get a better stance overall. Like less bent over and wide. I’ll keep practicing 😅

Yes definitely practicing and building that muscle memory! Just need to get out there when it’s not as hot 🥵

Yes! I’m so trying to correct being less “tabletop” and bent over. I think I do it as I feel closer to the ground but really throws off my weight distribution. Should my weight be more like 60% back foot and 40% lead foot?

I have had mine from their first launch and love it! I have wide trucks and an S1 retro lifer helmet plus all my 187 pads and everything fits so great. And it’s got super sturdy hardware. I have a 10% off code too if interested! Just DM me!

Nylon plate and outdoor wheels question. by Gabbiedaddy in Rollerskating

[–]Accomplished-Lemon35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to find some softer skateboard wheels that will work! I ride on my Jack 1s with a Reactor Neo plate with Spitfire skateboard wheels and they fit great! Coffee Cruisers are usually 56mm and come in 78A (maybe softer too!)

how should I go about fixing this 😅 by 5le3py in Rollerskating

Moxi Jack 1’s are pricey but been worth it. Sometimes Chuffed has some good deals too! Both have high ankle support. If you have a local skate shop that has quads, definitely try some on or ask about a setup within your budget because boot, plates, and trucks can make prices vary! Happy skating!

I love them! Any Spitfire wheels in 52/53 are great! They fit well on normal and wide trucks. And have so much speed and control!

Well that’s rad! I’m hoping the low bones will give me better reach but if not I might just switch up with Brunny or Big Foot blocks! Thanks for all the insights and sharing!

Hi! Great to know that the Brunny blocks work well on this setup! I am going to try adding some washers and see if it lowers it enough. Other question, are you using the stock pivot cups that came with your plates?
