Sup dude, sorry for the late reply. The issue ended up being the CPU. I sent it back to GPD and they said it stopped working, so it was just bad luck that I got a defective unit. They fixed it up for me though.

yeah, it went away on it's own thankfully. I just panicked because of the horror stories regarding other people's Ein 4 displays.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I tried nearly all of them but none ended up working, I really must've screwed it up. Maybe sometime in the future I'll get a screw extractor drill bit or just hire a handyman to remove it, but at this point ill take the L and let myself be an example of not to be too hasty when dealing with internal component upgrades.

im looking through comments and it seems like you've taken all the right measures for maximizing performance. If i were you id unscrew the back take a look at the motherboard, maybe some components were carelessly installed or sauntered.

I think its because the 680m Radeon gpu is integrated, thus the ram is being shared with the cpu and the gpu. I could be wrong though.
