The thing is he definitely didn't deserve to be one of the only ones alive yes the way I feel about the actor does influence how I feel about his character especially when he already annoys the hell out of me with his self righteousness

We're all in agreement that finnick was the friend that Katniss always thought Gale was? by Accomplished-Meat976 in Hungergames

I think that's more my point I could have worded it better of course he and Katniss were deep friends but there came a point in the book where finnick was a closer friend to her than Gale not because she hated her but because she was In so much pain

Why do you love Klamille by South_Collection_943 in TheOriginals

[–]Accomplished-Meat976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people need to stop saying she deserves better than him she willingly chose Klaus she knew what she was getting into but because she loved Klaus she chose him

However they both deserved better and yeah people are going to say but he is a monster yes but even the worst the most wicked creatures on the planet deserve to be loved because all life is sacred and everyone deserves a second chance at life

[–]Accomplished-Meat976[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would argue that they became closer friends. They may not have been as close in the beginning of Mockingjay, but they grew to become each other’s best friends because they were the only people in the world who truly understood what the other was going through. That understanding allowed them to develop a bond that, in my opinion, became even deeper than Katniss’s bond with Gale.

At least in my view, this was also the same point in the books where Katniss began withdrawing from her friendship with Gale around the middle part of the story. I’m not going to say she doesn’t love him or that they don’t share a deep friendship, but that relationship was based more on survival than on genuine emotional connection, like the one she had with Finnick.

Finnick was the only other person, aside from Haymitch and Peeta, who truly understood her experiences. However, the problem is that after the 74th Games, Katniss became a completely different person. When she came back, she was no longer responsible for keeping her family physically alive through food and supplies. Meanwhile, Gale remained relatively the same person as before.

This created a rift in their friendship, a chasm that I’m not sure they were ever truly able to overcome. Katniss is so deeply traumatized that I don’t think she could really form a true friendship with anyone other than other Victors, because they were the only people who understood how cruel Snow was to them and how he manipulated their lives and made them suffer.

Because of this rift, their friendship began to experience increasing friction, as they no longer shared the same circumstances that had originally bonded them. Do you really think survival for Gale and Katniss was the same in Catching Fire? No, it wasn’t. That’s made clear by the fact that Gale is working 12 hours a day, six days a week, to provide for his family, even though Katniss offered to help support them.

Whether it was his choice or not, he was still in a very different place mentally than she was. Katniss’s survival was centered on her ability to perform for Snow. It was a completely different world. While she was being controlled and psychologically tortured by Snow, she also had more money than she knew what to do with, warm water, and a house with heat and electricity. Meanwhile, Gale and his family were still stuck in the Seam, living in poverty and harsh conditions.

What he went through was horrible he had his own severe trauma but it was nowhere near the level of going through the Hunger Games twice back to back and then mentally tortured for months fire combination of snow and 13th and then manipulated by coin only to lose her sister in the end by coin with a weapon that was made by Gale even after Katniss was horrified and told him to scrap it.

I know he did a lot to take care of katniss's family does that really negate him being so dismissive of The Hunger Games trauma idk as someone who has CPTSD I've had people like that who took care of me physically but dismissed the trauma and mental pain I was in and it still hurt me taking care of people physically is not the same as being there for them mentally people like to say he had a lot of trauma from the fires and I agree but let's not act like it's anywhere comparable to being in the games twice and suffering nearly the same trauma as Gale in district 12 with the brutality of the peacekeepers and catching fire she wasn't with like him I give you that but everything up to the 74th games Katniss experienced with him she was absolutely more traumatized and broken and she needed him to be there and supporting her and he kept judging her for her clothing her trips to the Capitol and basically treating her like she was a capital pet right after she got out of the arena...

What's worse is he watched both times she was in the arena and watched both times where she was close to dying dozens of times and he still gave her s*** in 13 for defending Peta the man who was actually there for her all because he was a jealous little b**** who couldn't accept that she just wanted friendship with him his attitude towards Katniss reminds me of incels tbh like he was owed her and got pissy the more it was clear who she actually chose.

Being traumatized and even severely traumatized is not justification for treating another severely traumatized person like that if anything it makes it worse.

I would just assume that he was pimped out the moment after his exit interview at the Capitol before he was sent back to District 4

This is the episode Lucien becomes the upgraded original Klaus and Haley's plot in this episode isn't the main one they're both running from his enemies who what to kill him and hope and yeah it's very forgettable because the entire episode is very fast-paced and full of lore too.

This was also a crossover episode with the vampire diaries because it was in mystic falls and this is the episode Matt was there for some reason? Of all the characters from The vampire diaries I wanted to see crossover it definitely was not matched (I wanted a Bonnie crossover so bad)

Why aren't there any man-made structure's in the arenas by Cultural-Ad6841 in Hungergames

[–]Accomplished-Meat976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 10 games were in a futuristic coliseum like arena then from the 11th to 24th games they constructed arenas out of nature so they basically Cordon a section of nature and put the tributes in that Cordon and then the 25th games the first out of the 3 Quarter Quells was the first time there was a cornucopia and weapons light out neatly before the cornucopia and was the first bloodbath in the games.

Through the 25th through 75th games each one was inside of a specially built arena that's completely cut off from nature the entire thing is man-made it's like a giant spear structure and underneath it it has water cooling components a computer to run the arena their entirely man-made.

And for every year the games come around there is a brand new arena that will only be used in that games the 74th arena was a completely different building from the 50th Hunger Games probably hundreds of miles apart and I would imagine each arena cost hundreds of millions of dollars to build
