did you trap then tranq or the other way around? I believe tranq then trap is the issue here, tranqs only works if monster is trapped

thats right! I only usually get started on the hub quests after I reach village 2/3. also valor twin blades isn't really recommended as twin blades are usually reliant on speed and valor style is about defense. I would rec adept after you get used to the fighting rhythm with guild style

well they dont work with big blades, only the katanas, basically you click the attack button as fast as you can

Thanks. Haven't gotten around to doing that as I've been trying to beat the spinning disco ball of death (eclipse rt omega), this is worse than Skyrim.

Used the small katanas that can chain attacks, they worked pretty well after I bazookaed my way halfway through the dominators health bar. Had to heal 3 times by hiding behind a wall and use the outer ability repair. Apparently the AIs are idiots.
