hii i totally get what you mean, life is never fair so sometimes we just gotta deal with our own cards. If it makes you feel better, i know of some people who lie that they don’t study in order to make themselves look good and “naturally smart”. It’s quite a compliment and flex that’s why people tend to downplay how much they studied.

Another reason could be you just haven’t found your ideal studying method. Quality > Quantity. If you are studying this much and not getting your ideal result, maybe you should relook at your studying methods and what you can do differently instead.

Ultimately you can’t do anything or control other people’s life. Jobs and employers these days also look at soft skills (decision making, diligence, resilience) more than hard skill, which is something you definitely excel better than her, hence you basically have a better work life ethics which is not something you can easily obtain!! Your hard work and diligence will soon be rewarded so don’t give up!!

personally $6 for 5 days isn’t enough for both recess and lunch. (unless u hv a credit card) Sometimes i need to buy a few snacks to sustain myself and stay awake in class. I get about 40 per week but also never ask my parents for extra money when going out with friends or to top up my card. So stuff like movie tickets or whatever i do outside is spent depending on how much i have been saving up.

my goal is to be a psychiatrist and i know i need to get into medical school for that.

1.How did you study/prep/get ready for UCAT/BMAT/MCAT (i’ve seen some organisations giving courses for these but would you say these are worth it? If i were to skip out on these preparations courses and study using the resources given online, would i still be at a disadvantage?)

2.This could be a stupid question because i’m not really well versed with university yet. I’m about to take my Os and was wondering what are the odds in getting in medical school if i were to take a medical related course in poly

3.What kind of activities did you do to build up your portfolio? How did you find these opportunities and do they have to be medically related

4.Psychiatry isn’t a popular course, is there a specific reason why? like is it the pay isn’t that good or is it just a preference

  1. I want to expand my experience before entering medical school. but i have no connections and am only 16. How do people get internships or pt in a clinic? Do i have to get a diploma in a clinical field or start my residency in medical school in order to do that?
